Thea participated in the British Voice of Tomorrow festival, where she was among the top thirty contestants out of hundreds. In late 2009, Thea sang with the well-known Italian singer Gigi D’Alessio at the opening of his world tour in Rome and later in Milan, where Gigi played the piano for her. Currently, Thea is a member of the gospel group “Enkor,” where she also sings as a soloist. On February 20, 2010, Thea Garrett won the right to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song “My Dream.” The song was composed by Jason Cassar and had lyrics by Sunny Aquilina.
