She was born in Osijek, Croatia. Mia graduated in German and English at the Faculty of Philosophy in Osijek. She presentrf her first single “Budi mi blizu” on October 12, 2015. Her debut album “Život nije siv”, released in 2017, became the best-selling album in Croatia in a very short time. The song of the same name was declared the most listened to and aired on radio stations in 2016, and the Croatian Record Association awarded the singer the recognition for the best young performer in the same year. In 2017, she held her first solo concert at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, entitled “Božićni koncert za male i velike”. In collaboration with the Christian band Emanuel, she recorded two songs of a spiritual nature: “Kako divno i me” and “Zlatnih krila”. Her second album “Sretan put” was released in 2019. In August, “Sva blaga ovog svijeta” climbed to the number one position, making it Dimšić’s sixth single to top the HR Top 40 chart as lead artist. In 2022, Mia won Dora, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, and thus represented Croatia in the international final. Lester’s professional career started with Gert Balke as the duo April Shower, who had a minor hit with “Railroad Song” in 1971. Her father ran a restaurant in Amsterdam, where she met singer Ramses Shaffy, with whom she started touring. Lester launched her solo career in 1974, and released the single ” Friend of mine”. Since her Eurovision appearance, Lester has worked steadily in a variety of both musical and dramatic stage roles. Heddy Lester passed away in January 2023. When she was seven years old, she started singing lessons at the music school in Kaunas, where she kept on studying for eight years. She sang in the childrens’ vocal band Linksmasis do. Ieva took part in several contests and festivals and was a backing vocal in the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. When she was 16, as a member of the Kaunas Choir, she took part in the tv show Chorų karai. In 2012, she took part in Lietuvos Balsas, the Lithuanian version of The Voice. In 2013, 2014 and 2017, she took part in Eurovizijos Atranka, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2018 she participated again and won. She represented Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “When we’re old”. The song was not only a success in Lithuania, but also reached the Swedish top-10. After the contest, she released another eight singles. In 2020, she hosted Pabandom iš naujo!, the new name for the Lithuanian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
