He then joined the team of Patrick Fiori. Bilal Hassani participated in Destination Eurovision, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Chingiz Mustafayev took part in the Eurovision national selection in 2011. In 2013, he represented Azerbaijan at the New Wave competition in Jurmala. Chingiz, who took a stage with Polina Gagarina during the competition, finished 11th. In 2016, he participated in the Ukrainian voting contest Holos Krainy. After suspending his participation in the competition, Chingiz began to perform with the group Palmas, which he founded. They mainly perform Azerbaijani national music mixed with flamenco, rock and pop music. On March 8, 2019, it was announced that Chingiz Mustafayev would represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song “Truth”. He reached the final and became 8th. In his youth he studied at Ohel Shem High School, majoring in theater. He began singing from the age of 13. When he was in high school he was a rejected child, when his overweight problem significantly affected his life. Prior to his enlistment in the Israel Defence Forces, he was not accepted into a military troupe and later, after passing the first stage of the entrance exams for the IDF Theater, he chose not to continue with the admission process. After his release from the IDF, he lost 50 kilograms, and began studying at the Nissan Nativ acting studio. After graduating, he starred in the play “Every living thing needs”, and appeared in the role of Natan the Gazan in the musical “Messiah Now” in the Musical Festival 2017 in Bat Yam. For this role he won the Promising Actor award at the same festival. In June 2018, Marimi participated in a children’s musical. Marimi participated in the sixth season of the reality show HaKokhav HaBa L’Eurovision. In the final he reached first place. Following the victory he represented Israel at the 2019 Eurovision in Tel Aviv. During the show he said that he suffers from audience fear, both as an actor and as a singer. On February 20, 2019, the song “Home”, was chosen as his Eurovision song. Kobi ended up 23rd out of 26 participants in the final. About two weeks after the Eurovision final, Marimi began rehearsing for the play Spring Awakening, which premiered in August 2019 at the Habima National Theater. On September 12, Marimi’s debut single called “Yalla Bye” was released. It topped the Israeli charts. On January 26, 2020, he released the song “Lo levad”. Duncan was born in 1994 in Spijkenisse. Duncan de Moor has been writing his own texts since he was 13. At the age of 17 he took part in Kunstbende, a network organization that discovers, develops and exhibits young, creative talent. In 2012 he won the local talent show Brielle’s got Talent. This allowed him to record music for a day in a studio with producer Emanuel Platino. De Moor started studying at the Rock Academy in Tilburg in 2013. With fellow students he founded the band The Slick and Suited (later simply The Slick), which played rock music combined with soul and pop. The Slick and Suited made its debut at Eurosonic Noorderslag in January 2014. In 2014, he took part in The Voice of Holland. He joined Ilse DeLange‘s team and reached the semifinals. In March 2016 De Moor decided to quit with The Slick. He graduated from the Rock Academy in 2017. Dutch broadcaster Avrotros selected Duncan, now operating under the pseudonym Duncan Laurence,for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. With the song “Arcade” written and composed by himself. On March 7, Arcade was presented in a Dutch TV-show. He became the hot favourite to win the contest. Duncan Laurence actually won the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. The previously planned Dutch club tour in October and November 2019 sold out within a week after winning the Eurovision Song Contest. After these concerts, Laurence gave concerts in other European countries and was added to the Pinkpop 2019 line-up. For March 26, 2020, a concert in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam was recorded. However, this was later moved by Laurence to November 17, 2020 because he needed more time to work on new music. In October of the same year, he released his second single “Love Don’t Hate It”, which reached number 6 in the Dutch charts. On May 13, 2020, Laurence released his first EP titled “Worlds on Fire”, featuring the single “Someone Else”. In November of the same year, Laurence released his debut album “Small Town Boy”. This was preceded by the single “Last Night” and a collaboration with Armin van Buuren entitled “Feel Something”. In December 2020, “Arcade” went viral on the social media platform TikTok. This resulted in “Arcade” entering the UK top-40. In the USA Duncan performed in the show Today and, in duet with Fletcher, in the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Arcade” entered the USA Billboard Hot-100 Singles Chart and reached the #30 spot. A new tour started on October 21, 2021. After performances in the Netherlands, 7 other European countries will be visited between October and November 2022.
