Hosts Eurovision 2023 revealed

The names of the 2023 Eurovision hosts have just been revealed by the BBC. Alesha Dixon, Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham, and Julia Sanina as our Hosts for the Semi-Finals and Grand Final. Presenting the Grand Final will be Eurovision legend Graham Norton, award-winning Ukrainian singer, Julia Sanina (of The HARDKISS), internationally acclaimed musical theatre performer, three-time Olivier Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning actress, Hannah Waddingham, and singer-songwriter, pop star and TV presenter, Alesha Dixon.

La Zarra will sing “Évidemment”

It’s La Zarra who is going to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest. That was announced by French television on January 12th this year. Tonight, her Eurovision song “Évidemment” has been revealed. The song is written and composed by herself, her producer Ben Adam and KNY Factory, the same team that wrote her big hit “Tu t’en iras”. Iceland: two finalists known

Iceland has had it’s first semifinal. Out of five songs, two finalists were chosen. Note that it’s not all over for the other three, as the jury will provide a wildcard for the final to one of the non qualifiers. It’s Monika Linkytė for Lithuania

Monika Linkytė won the Lithuanian national final Pabandom iš naujo tonight. She will sing the song “Stay” which is written and composed by Monika herself with Chris Noah. Monika took part before in Eurovision in 2015. Together with Vaidis Baumila she sang “This time”. The duo reached the final back in those days and became 18th there. Sweden: 3rd heat of Melodifestivalen is there

The very popular Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen will have it’s 3rd heat tonight. Seven songs will compete, two will head directly to the final while two other songs will go to the semifinal. The show starts at 20:00 and you can watch it here. The competing songs are: Paul Rey sings “Royals” Casanovas sing “Så kommer känslorna tillbaka” Melanie Wehbe sings “For the show” Nordman sings “Släpp alla sorger” Laurell sings “Sober” Ida-Lova sings “Låt hela stan se på” Marcus & Martinus sing “Air”   Paul Rey became 6th in the 2020 final. A year later he became 12th. Nordman became 5th in 2005 and 6th in 2008.

Iceland: Söngvakeppnin will start tonight

Tonight the Icelandic national final Söngvakeppnin will start. You are able to watch the first of two semifinals. Two songs will be selected, two others next week. In the end, a wildcard will be given to a 5th song. The show will start at 20:45 CET and you can watch it here. The songs in tonight show will all be sung in Icelandic. For the final, however, artists have the right to sing their song in English. These are tonights titles: Bragi sings “Stundum snýst heimurinn þér” Móa sings “Glötuð ást” Benedikt sings “Þora” Celebs sing “Dómsdagsdans” Diljá sings “Lifandi inni í mér”   None of tonights singers had previously participated in any national final before.

Lithuania selects a Eurovision entry!

After two heats and two semifinals, tonight Lithuania will select a Eurovision entry. Out of ten songs, the entry will be chosen by 50% jury and 50% televoting. The show starts at 20:00 CET and you can watch it here and on YouTube. Marco Mengoni represents Italy

After he won the Festival Di Sanremo yesterday, Marco Mengoni confirmed today that he will go to Eurovision. He confirmed that during the winners press conference this afternoon. The signs that he would do the job were already there. Yesterday, he said in a BBC-interview that he would like to go. Marco Mengoni will sing the song “Due vite” in Liverpool. The song is written by Marco himself with Davide Pretella and Davide Simonetta. Italy is placed directly for the final.

It’s Monika Linkytė for Lithuania

Monika Linkytė won the Lithuanian national final Pabandom iš naujo tonight. She will sing the song “Stay” which is written and composed by Monika herself with Chris Noah. Monika took part before in Eurovision in 2015. Together with Vaidis Baumila she sang “This time”. The duo reached the final back in those days and became 18th there. Sweden: 3rd heat of Melodifestivalen is there

The very popular Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen will have it’s 3rd heat tonight. Seven songs will compete, two will head directly to the final while two other songs will go to the semifinal. The show starts at 20:00 and you can watch it here. The competing songs are: Paul Rey sings “Royals” Casanovas sing “Så kommer känslorna tillbaka” Melanie Wehbe sings “For the show” Nordman sings “Släpp alla sorger” Laurell sings “Sober” Ida-Lova sings “Låt hela stan se på” Marcus & Martinus sing “Air”   Paul Rey became 6th in the 2020 final. Tonight the Icelandic national final Söngvakeppnin will start. You are able to watch the first of two semifinals. Two songs will be selected, two others next week. In the end, a wildcard will be given to a 5th song. The show will start at 20:45 CET and you can watch it here. The songs in tonight show will all be sung in Icelandic. For the final, however, artists have the right to sing their song in English. After two heats and two semifinals, tonight Lithuania will select a Eurovision entry. Out of ten songs, the entry will be chosen by 50% jury and 50% televoting. The show starts at 20:00 CET and you can watch it here and on YouTube. Marco Mengoni represents Italy

After he won the Festival Di Sanremo yesterday, Marco Mengoni confirmed today that he will go to Eurovision. He confirmed that during the winners press conference this afternoon. The signs that he would do the job were already there. Yesterday, he said in a BBC-interview that he would like to go. Marco Mengoni will sing the song “Due vite” in Liverpool. The song is written by Marco himself with Davide Pretella and Davide Simonetta. Italy is placed directly for the final.

The names of the 2023 Eurovision hosts have just been revealed by the BBC. Alesha Dixon, Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham, and Julia Sanina as our Hosts for the Semi-Finals and Grand Final. Presenting the Grand Final will be Eurovision legend Graham Norton, award-winning Ukrainian singer, Julia Sanina (of The HARDKISS), internationally acclaimed musical theatre performer, three-time Olivier Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning actress, Hannah Waddingham, and singer-songwriter, pop star and TV presenter, Alesha Dixon.
