Lithuania: semifinal results are in!

In Lithuania, the semifinal results are in. Out of 10 songs, the best five will head to the final within two weeks. Next week, we will see the second semifinal. Slovenian Joker Out! presents “Carpe Diem”

photo: primož lukežič Tonight, the Slovenian band Joker Out! presented their Eurovision entry. The song is called “Carpe diem”, as was already revealed in an earlier stage. The song was presented after a show called Misija Liverpool. Joker Out will perform the song in the 2nd half of the 2nd semifinal.

Lithuania: on to the semifinals

Tonight is the night that we go on to the semifinals in Lithuania. In each semifinal, 10 songs will compete, five of them will have a place in the final. The show starts at 20:00 and you can watch it here and on YouTube. Spain: Benidorm Fest final is there!

After two semifinals, we head to the final of Benidorm Fest. Spain is gonna decide which song will go to Eurovision in Liverpool. Last year, Chanel was very succesful for Spain with a third place. Will the new particpant do the trick again? The show will start at 22.00 and you can watch it here. Norway selects: Melodi Grand Prix final

Tonight is the night Norway select it’s song. After three semifinals, it is time for the Melodi Grand Prix final. Out of 9 songs, the Norwegian Eurovision entrant will be chosen. The show starts at 19.50 and you can watch it here. These are the 9 songs: 1 Jone Ekko inni meg 2 Eline Thorp Not meant to be 3 Skrellex Love again 4 Ulrikke Brandstorp Honestly 5 Umami Tsunami Geronimo 6 Atle Pettersen Masterpiece 7 Swing’it Prohibition 8 Elsie Bay Love you in a dream 9 Alessandra Queen of kings Ulrikke took part in 2017 (4th) and 2020 (1st). However, in 2020 the festival was cancelled and her song “Attention” thus never reached the Eurovision stage.Atle Pettersen sang in the 2021 final.Elsie Bay took part in 2022, reached the 2nd round in the final.

Sweden: Melodifestivalen starts

The very popular Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen will start tonight. Seven songs will compete, two will head directly to the final while two other songs will go to the semifinal. The show starts at 20:00 and you can watch it here. The competing songs are: Tone Sekelius sings “Rythm of my show” Loulou Lamotte sings “Inga Sorger” Rejhan sings “Haunted” Elov & Beny sing “Raggen går” Victor Crone sings “Diamonds” Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos sing “Länge leve livet” Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods sing “Where you are (Sávežan)” Tone Sekelius became 5th last year.Loulou Lamotte is a member of The Mamas; she won Melodifestivalen 2020 with “Move”; due to the pandemic, The Mamas did not go to Eurovision. In 2021 the group became 3rd.Victor Crone took part in 2015 and reached the 2nd chance round, together with Behrang Miri. In 2020 he became 9th. In 2019 he represented Estonia with the song “Storm”.Eva Rydberg took part in 1977 and became 7th. As a duo, Eva Rydberg and Ewa Roos reached the 2021 2nd chance round.Jon Henrik Fjällgren became 2nd in 2015, 3rd in 2017 and 4th in 2019.

Latvia: Supernova 2023 starts

Latvia will also start their national selection today: Supernova. The show will start at 20:00 and you can watch it here or with the lsvm.lv app. 14 songs will compete and 10 will head to the final. Ireland: Eurosong 2023

Tonight is the night that Ireland will have a national selection. The show starts at 22:35 CET and you can watch it here. The songs are: Leila Jane sings “Wild” Adgy sings “Too good for love” Public Images Limited sing “Hawaii” Connolly sings “Midnight summer night” Wild Youth sings “We are one” K Muni & ND sing “Down in the rain” None of the artists took part in the national selection before. However, Public Images Limited are not completely unkown. The band, under the lead of John Lydon a.k.a. Johnny Rotten, had a huge international hit in 1983 with “This is not a love song”. Lydon was also the singer of the Sex Pistols.

Benidorm Fest Semi Final 2 results

After another long night in Benidorm the results are in. Blanca Paloma won the semifinal. Last year, Blanca took part as well, but she didn’t manage to reach the final back then. The other finalists from tonight will be Vicco, Karmento and José Ottero. Both Operacíon Triunfo winner Famous and former Eurovision participant Alfred García didn’t manage to reach the final. Iru Kechanovi wins The Voice Georgia

Iru Kechanovi has won The Voice Georgia and thus will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest. The song, with which she will represent the country, will be presented later. Iru was coached by Dato Porchkhidze. She sang the Eurovision song “Euphoria” in the final. Iru gained 21,88% of the votes.
