About Quick Facts MembersAntony CostaDuncan JamesLee RyanSimon Webbe Founded2000 Nationality🇬🇧 British National SelectionInternal selection 2011 In Eurovision2011 Düsseldorf SongI Can (2011) Biography Blue is a British all guy band. In the late 1990s, Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, and Simon Webbe crossed paths in the British music scene. Bonding over their shared passion for music, they decided to form a band. Blue was born, and the four members embarked on a journey that would change their lives forever. Blue’s breakthrough came in 2001 with the release of their debut single, “All Rise,” which quickly climbed the UK charts and established the group as a new force in the pop world. Their debut album, also titled “All Rise,” followed later that year. Following the success of their debut album, Blue continued to make waves in the music industry with their subsequent albums “One Love” (2002) and “Guilty” (2003). Their growing popularity led to collaborations with prominent artists such as Elton John and Stevie Wonder, as well as sold-out tours and numerous awards. Blue’s appeal extended beyond the UK, with the group gaining a loyal fan base in countries across Europe, Asia, and Australia. Despite their success, the members of Blue faced personal and professional challenges that led to the group’s decision to take a hiatus in 2005. Each member pursued solo projects, exploring different musical styles and personal interests.  In 2011, Blue regrouped to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song “I Can.” Although they did not win, their participation marked the beginning of a new chapter for the band. They went on to release new music, including the album “Roulette” in 2013. In 2015, they released “Colours,” an album featuring a mix of new songs and classic soul covers. This album marked a departure from their usual style and was aimed at a more mature audience. It received a lukewarm reception and modest sales. On 30 November 2021, Blue announced an arena tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary, with Atomic Kitten supporting them. During an interview on “This Morning,” they revealed they were recording a new album, hinting at new music to accompany the tour. On 11 April 2022, the group announced their sixth studio album, “Heart & Soul,” initially set for release on 9 September 2022. The album’s release date was later pushed back to 28 October 2022. They unveiled the track listing on social media and released the first single, “Haven’t Found You Yet.” Another single, “Dance with Me,” a cover of the 2001 112 single, was released on 29 June 2022. In November 2022, Blue performed at a fan festival in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a decision that attracted criticism due to Qatar’s human rights issues and strict anti-LGBT laws.   Entries I Can Country🇬🇧 United Kingdom Year2011 LanguageEnglish LyricsCiaron BellBen CollierIan HopeDuncan JamesLiam KeenanLee RyanStarSign MusicCiaron BellBen CollierIan HopeDuncan JamesLiam KeenanLee RyanStarSign BackingsDaniel ThomasBryan Chambers Results Semi Points: –Position: –Running order: – Results Finals Points: 100Position: 11Running order: 14 https://youtu.be/9mUKrCGshog?si=uLr7H2IZE1l7W35_

With a distinct raspy vocal quality, likened to a “female Rod Stewart,” and powerful anthems, she forged a music career that spanned decades and earned her worldwide acclaim. Growing up as the daughter of a coal miner and sharing the house with three sisters and two brothers, Bonnie’s musical journey began in the church choir. Her early musical taste was influenced by the soulful sounds of Motown and artists like Janis Joplin. In the late 1960s, she started performing in local pubs and clubs in South Wales. By her late teens, Bonnie knew that she wanted to take her passion for singing to a professional level. In 1976, after several rejections and minor breakthroughs, Bonnie Tyler was thrust into the limelight with her hit “Lost in France.” But it was her 1977 song “It’s a Heartache” that made her an international sensation, reaching the top 10 in both the U.S. and UK. However, the late 1970s and early 1980s marked a challenging period for Bonnie. After undergoing surgery to remove nodules from her vocal cords, her voice deepened, intensifying its gritty texture. Rather than seeing it as a setback, Bonnie embraced her new sound, making it her signature. In 1983, she collaborated with Jim Steinman, who wrote and produced her seminal album, “Faster Than the Speed of Night.” The album featured the unforgettable track “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” which skyrocketed to No. 1 in multiple countries, solidifying Bonnie Tyler’s position as a rock icon. In 1984 she had another massive hit with “A Rockin’ Good Way”, a duet with Shakin’ Stevens, followed by a new solo single “Holding out a hero”. Both songs were #1 hits in Ireland. Despite the massive success of “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” the late 1980s saw a waning in Tyler’s chart performance. However, her song “Bitter blue” became a hit in several countries in 1991. A year later she had a massive hit in Norway with “Fools lullaby”. In 2003, Bonnie Tyler made a comeback with a French version of “Total Eclyps”, “Si Demain (Turn Around)”. The song reached the #1 spot in the French charts and became a hit in Switzerland as well. In 2013, Bonnie Tyler made headlines again when she represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Believe in Me.” She reached a 19th place with the song in the Grand Final. In Marc 2019, her album “Between The Earth And The Stars” had already claimed the 34th spot on the UK Albums Chart. The album boasted collaborations with music icons: Rod Stewart, Francis Rossi, and Cliff Richard. She immediately kicked off a 23-show European tour in April.  December of the same year saw Tyler revamp her 2005 track, “Streets of Stone,” aligning with The World’s Big Sleep Out’s charitable cause.  The year 2020 wasn’t without its surprises. Collaborating with Lorraine Crosby, Tyler launched “Through Thick and Thin (I’ll Stand by You)” to aid the Teenage Cancer Trust. The track found its place at number 64 on the UK Downloads Chart. By February 2021, she graced her fans with another masterpiece: “The Best Is Yet to Come.” Fast forward to September 2022, Tyler, alongside Mike Batt, reintroduced “Into the Sunset”—a track once featured in the 1990’s “The Dreamstone” soundtrack. In October, she joined forces with the cast of Tanz der Vampire in Stuttgart, celebrating the musical’s silver anniversary with a live rendition of her iconic “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” For the first time, she embarked on a South American tour, including eight shows in Brazil and a notable performance in Uruguay. Anouk

About Quick Facts NameAnouk Teeuwe Born08 April 1975 Nationality🇳🇱 Dutch National SelectionInternal selection 2013 In Eurovision2013 Malmö SongBirds (2013) Biography Born in The Hague, Netherlands, on 8 April 1975, Anouk Teeuwe, known popularly as Anouk, is a testament to the indomitable spirit of passion and perseverance. Her journey into the world of music wasn’t a bed of roses. As a teenager, grappling with personal issues, Anouk dabbled in drugs and even left her family at a tender age of 14. However, her life took a transformative turn when she rediscovered her roots in music, inspired by her mother, a blues singer. From a shy teenager singing her heart out at weddings and local gatherings with the band Shotgun Wedding, Anouk transitioned to a budding artist at the Rotterdam Conservatory in 1994. Though she left the conservatory after just two years, her passion for music remained undeterred. The period marked a significant turn in her career when her husband, Edwin Jansen, introduced her to Barry Hay, the lead vocalist of the iconic Dutch rock band, Golden Earring. Sensing her raw talent, Hay collaborated with his fellow band member, George Kooymans, to pen “Mood Indigo” for Anouk. The late 1990s was an era of exploration for Anouk. Partnering with Bart van Veen as her co-writer, they crafted several songs. But it was her single, “Nobody’s Wife,” released in September 1997, that acted as a catapult, propelling her to the zenith of the Dutch music charts and gaining recognition in Norway and Sweden. “Together Alone,” her debut album, echoed her rise to prominence. The subsequent years were an amalgamation of achievements and challenges. In 1998, she bagged multiple awards, including two from the revered Dutch music channel TMF and the prestigious Edison Award. With the dawn of the new millennium, her second album “Urban Solitude” arrived, featuring the hit “R U Kiddin’ Me”. An attempt to explore opportunities in the US music industry didn’t materialize as planned, but this setback was merely a precursor to her returning with a bang with the song “Don’t” in 2001. Anouk’s discography in the early 2000s was diverse, with “Lost Tracks” in 2001, showcasing acoustic renditions and collaborations, and the hard rock-infused “Graduated Fool” in 2002. Her evolution as an artist was further manifested in “Hotel New York” (2004), marked by singles such as “Girl” and “Lost”. The ensuing years saw Anouk experimenting with different genres and collaborations. “Who’s Your Momma” (2007) was a significant release, with the single “Good God” making its way into the video game Guitar Hero World Tour. “For Bitter or Worse” followed in 2009, accompanied by chart-topping songs. The 2010s carved a niche for Anouk in the international music arena. Her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “Birds” ended the Netherlands’ dry spell in the competition, garnering 9th place and widespread acclaim. She also penned the 2015 Dutch Eurovision entry “Walk along” for Trijntje Oosterhuis. Anouk’s tenure as a coach on “The Voice of Holland” was another feather in her cap, spanning several seasons, though it ended in 2022 amidst controversy surrounding the show. Her musical journey in the late 2010s and 2020s was marked by diversity. With two album releases in 2016, the introduction of her first Dutch-language album in 2018 titled “Wen d’r maar aan”, and the intimately crafted mini-album “Trails of Fails” in 2022, Anouk solidified her legacy as a versatile artist unafraid of reinvention. In June 2022, Anouk married Dominique Schemmekes during a concert at the Malieveld in The Hague. In January 2023 she recorded a song “Met wie kan jij het aan” together with Emma Heesters. Cascada

© Albin Olsson About Quick Facts MembersNatalie HorlerManuel Reuter (not on stage)Yann Peifer (not on stage) Founded2004 Nationality🇩🇪 German National SelectionUnser Song Für Malmö 2013 In Eurovision2013 Malmö SongGlorious (2013) Biography Cascada is a German dance music act. Natalie Horler, at the age of 17 in 1998, was involved in studio collaborations with numerous DJs. It was during this period that she encountered Yanou (Yann Peifer) and DJ Manian (Manuel Reuter), who were 24 and 20 years old respectively. Initially, their music was released under the name Cascade. However, due to potential legal complications from another artist named Kaskade, they rebranded as Cascada. They also ventured into music under aliases such as Siria, 3XM, Phalanx, Scarf!, Diamond, and Akira, but these projects were halted given Cascada’s rising popularity. Their debut single was “Miracle”, and its successor, “Bad Boy”. “Miracle” was launched in 2004 in the US. When it failed to gain significant traction, Cascada pitched “Everytime We Touch”. Nearly a year after launching their second U.S. single “Everytime We Touch” — inspired by Maggie Reilly’s 1992 track of the same name — Cascada achieved significant recognition in both the UK and the U.S. This track received multiple gold and platinum awards worldwide, including a platinum certification from the RIAA. Its immense popularity led to the rapid recording and release of an album, accompanied by a promotional music video for “Everytime We Touch”. The album spawned seven singles in total. In the UK, four of these were launched: “Everytime We Touch”, “Truly Madly Deeply” (a rendition of Savage Garden’s hit), “Miracle”, and “A Neverending Dream”. All but “A Neverending Dream”, which ranked at #46, achieved top 10 status. In the U.S., following the surge in popularity of “Everytime We Touch”, “Miracle” was reintroduced, garnering extensive radio airplay and achieving a modest chart position. The album “Everytime We Touch” made its mark on the UK Album chart, holding a spot in the top forty for half a year and reaching its peak at No. 2. It also performed well on U.S. charts. This widespread acclaim led to Cascada receiving two World Music Award nominations and clinching the title for the World’s Best-Selling German Artist.  In late 2007, Cascada unveiled their second album, “Perfect Day”, initially in the UK and parts of Northern Europe, with other regions receiving it in early 2008. For its U.S. release, which came later, the album underwent some alterations.  The album’s first single, “What Hurts the Most”, rolled out at the close of 2007 and the onset of 2008, accompanied by its B-side, a rendition of Wham!’s festive hit, “Last Christmas”. This track achieved commendable success, securing spots within the top ten in numerous countries. Subsequently, in the UK and Germany, the tracks “What Do You Want From Me?” and “Because the Night” were released. In late June 2009, Cascada released “Evacuate the Dancefloor” in the UK. The song secured the No. 1 spot. The track achieved top five rankings in several countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, and New Zealand, and was among the top ten in several others. By late September, it made its U.S. debut, peaking at No. 25 and marking the group’s second top-forty hit in the country. “Evacuate the Dancefloor” became iconic in the club scene, featured in various dance-centric video games, and even secured a nomination for an MTV Video Music Award. The album, sharing the same title, was launched on July 6 in both the UK and Germany. Although the album didn’t achieve the same level of acclaim as its titular single, it still ranked in the top ten in numerous countries. From this album, “Dangerous” and “Fever” were introduced as subsequent singles, with varying regional releases. Both tracks didn’t mirror the success of their predecessor in terms of airplay or sales. Despite this, Cascada continued to actively promote their album, even joining Britney Spears as an opening act during a concert in Germany. In 2010, Cascada introduced “Pyromania”, marking a continuation of their electropop style. That summer, parts of a song named “Night Nurse” began to surface online. By November, a music video spotlighting Horler adorned in multi-colored full-body paint was unveiled, building anticipation for their upcoming album. In late March 2011, Cascada was busy shooting music videos for their forthcoming singles, “San Francisco” and “Au Revoir”. Both were directed by Lisa Mann with choreography by Luther Brown. These tracks were highlighted in the album “Original Me”, which saw its UK release on 20 June 2011 and a later US release on 29 November. In a bold move, Horler graced the pages of Playboy Deutschland in July 2011, evoking varied responses from both fans and critics.  In January 2012, Horler became a jury member for the German vocal talent show, “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. By March, the music video for “Summer of Love” debuted in Germany, paving the way for the compilation album “Back on the Dancefloor”. A few months later, in June, clips of Horler covering Corona’s classic “The Rhythm of the Night” appeared online. The cover was officially released later that month in both Germany and the US. Approaching the festive season, Cascada unveiled a Christmas album titled “It’s Christmas Time” in November 2012. This album featured their rendition of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” and an original song, “Somewhere At Christmas Time”. Notably, David Horler, Natalie’s uncle, contributed his trombone skills to a couple of tracks. Early in 2013, Cascada released the single “Glorious”, which soon earned them the honor of representing Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. They later secured 21st place out of 26 participants in the contest’s final round. Shortly after this, they dropped their second greatest hits compilation, “The Best of Cascada”, which introduced the new song “The World is in My Hands”, succeeding their Eurovision entry. The group then shifted gears, working on an acoustic album titled “Acoustic Sessions”, released in November 2013. This album spotlighted stripped-down versions of their popular hits along with select cover songs. In March 2014, Cascada

Formed in 2002, the band was made up of lead singer Raquel del Rosario from the Canary Islands, and Asturian musicians Juan Luis Suárez and David Feito, both on guitar.  Before their current incarnation, the trio played under the name Xemà, releasing an album titled “Del Interior” in 2002. However, it was their reformation as El Sueño De Morfeo that truly brought them into the spotlight. Their debut album as El Sueño De Morfeo, released in 2005, was a massive success in Spain. The album was certified as a gold record and produced several hits, including “Nunca Volvera,” “Okupa de Tu Corazón,” and “Esta Soy Yo.” The latter song also earned Raquel del Rosario a nomination for Best Song at the Principality of Asturias Awards. In 2007, they followed up their successful debut with a second album titled “Nos vemos en el camino,” which further solidified their place in the Spanish music industry. This was followed by two more albums, “Cosas que nos hacen sentir bien” in 2009 and “Buscamos sonrisas” in 2011. The band represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. Their song “Contigo hasta el final (With You Until The End)” unfortunately did not fare well in the competition, finishing in the 25th place out of 26 contestants. They decided to take a break as a group, and at the end of 2014 they announced that they would reunite in January of the following year to record their next album. However, they ultimately decided to pursue separate paths, not having taken it as a definitive breakup. Raquel moved with her family to the United States. They made a joint musical collaboration in 2020 during the lockdown due to the COVID-19 crisis online. In June 2022, following the initiative of Prensa Ibérica, they gave a reunion concert at the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo, the proceeds of which were donated to those affected by the eruption of the La Palma volcano. Although Juan Luis was present and helped organize the event, he could not play the guitar. They announced that this would be their last concert and that they have no plans to resume their career as a group. Shortly after, he formed The Moon Band and became a star on many hotel terraces along the Montenegrin coast.

Bonnie Tyler

© Albin Olsson About Quick Facts NameGaynor Hopkins Born08 June 1951 Nationality🇬🇧 British National SelectionInternal selection 2013 In Eurovision2013 Malmö SongBelieve In Me (2013) Biography Born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951, in Skewen, Wales, Bonnie Tyler would grow up to become one of the most recognizable voices in rock and pop music.

He was born on December 5, 1967, in Cetinje, the Socialist Republic of Montenegro, Yugoslavia, in a musical family. He spent his childhood and youth in Podgorica. His first public performance was at the age of six at the Naša radost festival in Podgorica, where he sang the song “Bio jednom jedan lav” (Once Upon a Lion). By winning the competition, he became the soloist of the children’s choir “Suncokrili” (Sunflowers). During high school, he formed his first band called Visoka frekvencija, and during that time, he composed songs like “Da l’ si ikada mene voljela” (Have You Ever Loved Me) and “Ti si kao magija” (You’re Like Magic), which would later become hits for Knez. Shortly after, he formed The Moon Band and became a star on many hotel terraces along the Montenegrin coast. A few years later, together with his father Milija, a legend of the Montenegrin music scene, he gathered the most talented musicians in Montenegro: guitarist Milorad Jovović – Šule and arranger-keyboardist Aleksandar Saša Tamindžić, and thus, Montenegro Band was formed. They performed throughout the former Yugoslavia, gaining extensive experience in live performances. Knez began his solo career in 1992, appearing at the prestigious Yugoslav music festival MESAM with the song “Da l’ si ikada mene voljela,” which became a big hit overnight. This was followed by his debut album titled “Kao magija” (Like Magic). Most of the hits from this album were composed by Leo Đokaj and Knez, with lyrics written by Ljubo and Zlatko Jovović. The album also includes a duet with Rambo Amadeus titled “Ne kukaj nam djede Niko” (Don’t Cry for Us, Grandfather Niko). Nenad Knežević Knez’s distinctive and original voice that emerged on the Yugoslav music scene in the 1990s was recognized with numerous awards, including Album of the Year, Oskar of Popularity, Golden Hit, Golden Cassette, Golden Palm, Melko, and others. In late 1994, his second album “Iz dana u dan” (Day by Day) was released, preceded by the maxi single of the song “Moja mala” (My Little One) in four different versions. Many hits were remembered from this album, but Knez’s favorite was the duet “Vrati je more” (Return Her, Sea), which he performed with his father Milija Knežević. Most of the songs were accompanied by excellent music videos. Two years later, Knez released his third album, “Automatic,” which broke all sales records. In addition to major hits, the album stood out with the duet “Bubamara” (Ladybug) featuring actor Branislav Lečić. The peak of his career up to that point was marked by a grand solo concert in Belgrade’s Sava Center. Three years later, the compilation album “The Best of Knez” with 18 greatest hits was released, including two new songs: “Nijedna žena na svijetu” (No Woman in the World) and “Ti ne znaš ko sam ja” (You Don’t Know Who I Am) in collaboration with Vlado Georgiev. Afterward, preparations began for his performance at the Pjesma mediterana – Budva 2000 festival. In this highly competitive event, Knez won the first prize with the song “Vjeruj” (Believe). His victory in Budva served as an excellent preview for his most complete and, according to many, best album yet, titled “Daleko, visoko” (Far, High). Songs from that album became the most listened to on many radio and TV stations in the region. In May 2003, Knez delighted his audience with his fifth album, “Ti me znaš” (You Know Me). The album featured twelve new songs, one of which had already achieved success at the Sunčane Skale festival in Herceg Novi (Silver Siren 2002 for the song “Pobijedila si ti” – You Won), and it showcased a very interesting blend of styles. In 2004, Knez took part in Evropesma – Europesma, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia and Montenegro. In the final, his song “Navika” reached a 7th place. The self-composed song had lyrics from Snežana Vukamanović. In 2005, Knez released his sixth album titled “Vanilla,” in which he changed his style again and turned to house and R&B, collaborating with a completely new team of young arrangers. The album was produced in Belgrade, Skopje, and Zagreb, and many top instrumentalists and studio musicians participated in its realization. The album includes a duet “Emina” with singer Emina Jahović. In 2006, he achieved third place with the song “Ti me znaš” for which the lyrics were written by Sergej Ćetković at the “Pjesma mediterana” festival in Budva. That same year, he released the compilation album “The Best of Balade,” produced by City Records.

In 2008, he released his seventh album, “Otrov i med” (Poison and Honey), which was very interesting in terms of production, also under the same record label. In the same year, Knez participated in MonetenegroSong 2008, the contest were the artist for Eurovision 2008 was selected. Knez reached a 3rd place. In 2012, he released the ethno-jazz album “The Magic of Balkan,” featuring 15 covers of sevdalinka, old town, and Roma songs. He gathered the best instrumentalists of that genre in the region for this release. The album was presented through numerous concert tours. In 2010, he participated in the reality show “Survivor,” which was filmed in the Philippines. In 2013 and 2019, the audience had the opportunity to witness his vocal abilities and talent for transformation in the TV show  (Your Face Sounds Familiar) broadcast on Prva Srpska Televizija. Knez represented Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in 2015 with the song “Adio,” with music by Željko Joksimović and lyrics by Marina Tucaković. He finished 13th in the final, achieving the best result for Montenegro at that prestigious music competition. In October 2018, Knez released a new single, entitled “Danas ja, sjutra ti”. In August 2019 “Još samo njenu svirajte” came out. In the same
