Today: semi final allocation draw

On Tuesday 28 January at 16:10 CET, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw will take place to decide which country will perform in which of the 2 Semi-Finals. During the ceremony, the Host City Insignia will be handed over from the city of Tel Aviv to the Mayor of Rotterdam. You can watch the entire event here at 16:10 CET. You will be able to see the 2020 Eurovision hosts Chantal Janzen, Edsilia Rombley and Jan Smit at work, as they will host the allocation draw too. The event will take place at Rotterdam’s City Hall. With 5 other Cypriot artists, he formed a team and worked together until May 2014. A new collaboration started in February 2015, with the VSeven Live Club in Paphos. In May of that year, Christos’ new single “Na pou girises” was released. He later became member of the Venue Club team in Larnaka. That lasted until May 2016. He left the Venue Club for a short time to return in October. Since 2017, Mylordos performs in several clubs. He especially sang in the Baraki club in Nicosia. That stopped in March 2020, due to the COVID19 crisis, but in June he left Baraki. However, in June 2021 he started to perform again at Baraki. Notably, she featured on the George Sarri album with the track “I kounia mas”. Her debut album, “Ton Mation sou i Kalimera”, showcased work from several Greek artists. In 2002, Olympiou signed with Universal Greece. A year later, she teamed up with Michalis Hatzigiannis, producing the hit single “Na ‘soun allios” from the album “Vale Mousiki”. The CD achieved platinum status. Her subsequent albums, “Exoume Logo” and “Auto ine Agapi”, featured songs predominantly written by the Pantelia brothers, with the leading single titled “Kapote”. Olympiou’s 2007 single “Pes to Dinata” achieved great success in Greece and Cyprus. Collaborating once more with Hatzigiannis, she released “Mazi Xorista”. Her duet with Hatzigiannis, “O Paradisos”, won the Best Duet award at the 2008 MAD Video Music Awards. Her 2010 album, ‘Mia stigmi’, was another success, with singles like ‘Pano stin agapi’ and ‘Adynamia’. In 2012, her duet with Stereo Mike, ‘Den s’ afino apo ta matia mou’, became popular in both Cyprus and Greece. Despina Olympiou represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Cypriot entry, a Greek song titled “An me thimasai”, was unveiled in February. Although versions in English and Spanish were created for promotion, Olympiou’s performance in the semi-finals did not advance her to the final round. Later in 2013 she teamed up with Constantinos Christoforou to perform in Greece and Cyprus. That caused a stir in December 2014. Despina was one of the jury members in the 2015 Cypriot national final for Eurovision. She performed in the show, together with Constantinos. But… Contantinos wrote one of the competing songs. In the end, Constantinos’ song did not win. In 2015, Despina gave several performances at the Barbarella Live Party in Thessaloniki. She also played the show “Medina darling” with Bessy Malfa and Krinio Nikolaou. In 2016 she went back to Thessaloniki for a lot of performances, a.o. with Krinio Nikolaou. She performed in Limassol with Constantinos. She also released the song “Gyrna se mena” in December. The song was followed in May 2017 by “Pánta érchetai i avgí” and “Opou mas pai i karthia” in November. In early 2018, Despina was part of a show were she performed songs of Yiorgos Chatzinasios and Yiorgos Theofanous. She performed in the show Notes Live with a.o. In November 2020, she announced that she was going to release a disco themed EP that contained 3 songs with the lead single “Light It Up” and the promotional single “Try Me”. The CD achieved platinum status. Her subsequent albums, “Exoume Logo” and “Auto ine Agapi”, featured songs predominantly written by the Pantelia brothers, with the leading single titled “Kapote”. Olympiou’s 2007 single “Pes to Dinata” achieved great success in Greece and Cyprus. Collaborating once more with Hatzigiannis, she released “Mazi Xorista”. In 2007, they initially released a single titled “Se álli selída”, while in 2008 they released their first album entitled “Mazí”. The group’s biggest success was the song “(Min káneis pos) De thymásai”. Eventually the band was dissolved in 2010.Eleni Foureira began her solo career shortly after. In February 2010, she took part in the Greek national final for the Eurovision Song Contest along with Manos Pyrovolakis and rapper Don’t Ask with the song “I kivotós tou Nóe”. In October of that year, she began performing in the nightclub Anodos. In December 2010, her first album, “Eleni Fouriera”, was released. She earned a platinum disc for the album. In 2011, she won two Mad Video Music awards. During the summer she participated in the “Hot Soft” tour with Kostas Martakis. She also performed with Sakis Rouvas and Onirama.In February 2012, Eleni appeared on the single “MadWalk by Vodafone – The Fashion Music Project”. In May she performed at the Mad Video Music Awards. She won two awards. In July 2012, her second solo album released by Minos EMI entitled “Ti Poniró Mou Zitás”. In January 2013, the video clip of the song “Pio érotas pethaíneis” was released. During the winter season 2013-2014, she performed in the successful band Fever along with Vasilis Karras and Nikos Economopoulos. In April 2014, a new track titled “Vázo tin kardiá” was released, which was one of the biggest radio hits of the year. In June of that year, she released her new video clip entitled “Party Sleep Repeat (PSR)”. During the summer of 2015 Eleni toured all over Greece, participating in many large music festivals. From October until mid-2016, she starred in the musical “Barbarella: The 80’s Musical”. On February 29, 2016, a video clip of her song “De Sou Chrostáo Agápi” was posted on YouTube, dedicated to women who experience violence. In the summer of the same year she released the song “Delicious” in collaboration with Albanian singer Imer and “Ti Koitás?” in collaboration with rapper Mike. In December of that year, she released a Christmas song and a few months after the new year, “Móno Gia Séna” came out. In september 2017, the British rapper A.M. SNiPER, released a record called “Send For Me” in collaboration with Eleni Fouriera and rapper Afro B. In 2018, she was able to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Fuego”. The song was one of the hot favorites to win the contest and became 2nd in the end, the best score so far for Cyprus. Shortly after the success at Eurovision, she signed a contract with the US-based record label Sony Music while also launching preparations for the Eleni Foureira international Summer Tour. She received a Mad Music Award for Best Pop Female Artist of the Year.  In august of that year, her new single “Caramela” was released. Meanwhile, “Fuego” became gold in Norway and Sweden. On April 5, 2019, Eleni Foureira released her international collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Kaan. A month later, her first international EP “Gypsy Woman” was released via Spotify, which includes five foreign language songs: The self-titled “Gypsy Woman (La-Da-Dee)”, “El Ritmo Psicodelico”, ” Call Ya’, ‘Barcelona’ and ‘Maria’.  At the Cyprus Super Music Awards 2019, she won two awards: “Best Female Modern” and “Best International Videoclip”. In June 2019, she performed at the Mad Video Music Awards, where she also won two awards: “Best Female Modern” and “Song Of The Year MAD Radio”. In July 2019, she released the song “Loquita” in collaboration with Claydee, and on September 3, she released the song “Another Level” with Lil Barty. In the 2019-2020 season Eleni was on the jury of the Greek music show The Final Four. On March 3, 2020, she released the song “Yayo”, which featured rapper Kareem Kalokoh on vocals. On June 19, she released her new song, titled “Temperatura,” which was also released in Spanish. In November 2020, she announced that she was going to release a disco themed EP that contained 3 songs with the lead single “Light It Up” and the promotional single “Try Me”. In December, she participated for the 11th consecutive year in the Mad Video Music Awards where she received the awards “Best Female Modern” and “Best Duet” for the collaboration with Claydee. In 2021, she hosted the musical reality show House Of Fame. On Tuesday 28 January at 16:10 CET, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw will take place to decide which country will perform in which of the 2 Semi-Finals. During the ceremony, the Host City Insignia will be handed over from the city of Tel Aviv to the Mayor of Rotterdam. You can watch the entire event here at 16:10 CET. With 5 other Cypriot artists, he formed a team and worked together until May 2014. A new collaboration started in February 2015, with the VSeven Live Club in Paphos. Her musical journey began there, later taking her to London where she studied piano and music theory at Trinity College.  Launching her music career in 1992, Olympiou relocated to Athens, Greece in 1993. During her time there, she collaborated with renowned artists like Yiannis Parios, Haris Alexiou, and Dimitris Mitropanos, to name a few. Notably, she featured on the George Sarri album with the track “I kounia mas”. Her debut album, “Ton Mation sou i Kalimera”, showcased work from several Greek artists. In 2002, Olympiou signed with Universal Greece. A year later, she teamed up with Michalis Hatzigiannis, producing the hit single “Na ‘soun allios” from the album “Vale Mousiki”. The CD achieved platinum status. Her subsequent albums, “Exoume Logo” and “Auto ine Agapi”, featured songs predominantly written by the Pantelia brothers, with the leading single titled “Kapote”. Olympiou’s 2007 single “Pes to Dinata” achieved great success in Greece and Cyprus. Collaborating once more with Hatzigiannis, she released “Mazi Xorista”. Her duet with Hatzigiannis, “O Paradisos”, won the Best Duet award at the 2008 MAD Video Music Awards. Her 2010 album, ‘Mia stigmi’, was another success, with singles like ‘Pano stin agapi’ and ‘Adynamia’. In 2012, her duet with Stereo Mike, ‘Den s’ afino apo ta matia mou’, became popular in both Cyprus and Greece. Despina Olympiou represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. The Cypriot entry, a Greek song titled “An me thimasai”, was unveiled in February. Although versions in English and Spanish were created for promotion, Olympiou’s performance in the semi-finals did not advance her to the final round. Later in 2013 she teamed up with Constantinos Christoforou to perform in Greece and Cyprus. That caused a stir in December 2014. Despina was one of the jury members in the 2015 Cypriot national final for Eurovision. She performed in the show, together with Constantinos. But… Contantinos wrote one of the competing songs. In the end, Constantinos’ song did not win. In 2015, Despina gave several performances at the Barbarella Live Party in Thessaloniki. She also played the show “Medina darling” with Bessy Malfa and Krinio Nikolaou. In 2016 she went back to Thessaloniki for a lot of performances, a.o. with Krinio Nikolaou. She performed in Limassol with Constantinos. She also released the song “Gyrna se mena” in December. The song was followed in May 2017 by “Pánta érchetai i avgí” and “Opou mas pai i karthia” in November. In early 2018, Despina was part of a show were she performed songs of Yiorgos Chatzinasios and Yiorgos Theofanous. She performed in the show Notes Live with a.o. Constantinos Christoforou and Evridiki. The tour continued in 2019, when she also performed together with Kostas Hatzis. In April 2020, Despina released a new song, “Mi skefteis ksana”. She also participated in the show Just The 2 Of Us. She won two awards. In July 2012, her second solo album released by Minos EMI entitled “Ti Poniró Mou Zitás”. In January 2013, the video clip of the song “Pio érotas pethaíneis” was released. During the winter season 2013-2014, she performed in the successful band Fever along with Vasilis Karras and Nikos Economopoulos. In April 2014, a new track titled “Vázo tin kardiá” was released, which was one of the biggest radio hits of the year. In June of that year, she released her new video clip entitled “Party Sleep Repeat (PSR)”. During the summer of 2015 Eleni toured all over Greece, participating in many large music festivals. From October until mid-2016, she starred in the musical “Barbarella: The 80’s Musical”. On February 29, 2016, a video clip of her song “De Sou Chrostáo Agápi” was posted on YouTube, dedicated to women who experience violence. In the summer of the same year she released the song “Delicious” in collaboration with Albanian singer Imer and “Ti Koitás?” in collaboration with rapper Mike. In December of that year, she released a Christmas song and a few months after the new year, “Móno Gia Séna” came out. In september 2017, the British rapper A.M. SNiPER, released a record called “Send For Me” in collaboration with Eleni Fouriera and rapper Afro B. In 2018, she was able to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Fuego”. The song was one of the hot favorites to win the contest and became 2nd in the end, the best score so far for Cyprus. Shortly after the success at Eurovision, she signed a contract with the US-based record label Sony Music while also launching preparations for the Eleni Foureira international Summer Tour. She received a Mad Music Award for Best Pop Female Artist of the Year.  In august of that year, her new single “Caramela” was released. Meanwhile, “Fuego” became gold in Norway and Sweden. On April 5, 2019, Eleni Foureira released her international collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Kaan.
