Born in Lyon, Alexandra Maquet is the eldest of a family of four sisters. She traveled a lot with her family and lived in Lille, Brussels and then in Paris. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a singer and began to play the piano. Her parents moved to Miami in the United States when she was fifteen. Her father then worked for an American company. In 2012, after the death of a childhood friend, Alma began to write and compose songs. On December 1, 2013, Alexandra Maquet joined the singing troupe of the musical show Les Chansons, first presented by Natasha St-Pier and broadcast on France 3 until in June 2014.   Her debut single, “La chute estlente”, was released in June 2016. She had her first concert in Malaunay (Seine-Maritime) where she opened for Amir in September 2016. In September 2016, Alma met some producers who were secretly considering her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. At the beginning of 2017, they proposed the song “Requiem” to the French selection committee for Eurovision. Alma ws chosen and announced on February 9 by France 2 as the French representative. Alma initially performed “Requiem” in French but then also recorded another version which contained a few lines in English and variations in the lyrics in French as well as in the melody. The images of the clip shot in Paris are the same for both versions. Alma’s debut album titled “Ma peau aime” was released on May 5, 2017. On May 13, 2017e, during the final of the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Alma performed “Requiem” in French with passages in English. She became 12th.  During the summer of 2017, she participated in many shows such as Vendredi tout est permi and Fort Boyard On January 27, 2018, replacing Amir, she was part of the jury for the final of Destination Eurovision on France 2, a program to designate the representative of France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. She was also chosen to comment on the Contest Eurovision Song Contest 2018 for France 2 with Christophe Willem and Stéphane Bern. On December 19, 2018, more than 70 celebrities mobilized at the call of the Urgence Homophobia association; Alma was one of them and appeared in the music video for the song “De l’amour”. Alma teamed up with Laurie Darmon; on 18 July 2019, they released the song “Zumbaa”. On 25 April, 2021, a new video was released, called “America”, followed by “Don’t let me go back” two months later. On 25 November 2022, a new project came out: “Rouge sang”.. Kristian Kostov was born in Moscow. His mother, Zaure, is Kazakh, and his father, Konstantin Kostov, is Bulgarian. From early childhood, Kristian was interested in music, and his parents decided to send him to the Neposedy studio. In 2006, he was cast in the Neposedy group and began his studies there . In the same year, he performed at the Kremlin together with Yulia Nachalova, participated in numerous concerts at various venues in Moscow. Together with the group he went on tour in Russia and abroad. Neposedy repeatedly participated in various competitions. In 2009 they opened Eurovision in Moscow. In 2011, Kostov won the Grand Prix at the international children’s competition “Sound Kids”. In 2012 he became a resident of the production center Jazz Parking. Kostov also represented Bulgaria at the Children’s New Wave 2012, where he took seventh place. In October of the same year, he was invited to become a member of the new children’s television project “Shkola muzyki” by Lina Arifulina, where he took the third place. At the age of 13, Kristian took part in  the Russian television project Golos. Deti (The Voice Kids), where he reached the final. In 2014, as part of the combined choir “Deti Zeml” (which united the Open Kids group, students of the school-studio “Respublika KIDS”, Sofia Tarasova and other famous children) recorded the song “Mir bez voyny”. In the summer of 2015, at the age of 15, Kristian Kostov took part in the 4th season of the X-Factor Bulgaria. He was the youngest participant in the fourth season. Kristian reached the 2nd place in the contest. In 2016, Kostov signed a contract with the Bulgarian music label Virginia Record. On October 7, 2016, he released his debut single with the song “Ne si za men” (“Not for me”). For two weeks the song was at the top of the national hitparade of the most frequently aired Bulgarian songs on radio and television. In addition, as a guest artist, Kristian Kostov recorded the song “Vdigam Level” (“Leveling Up”) with the duo Pavell & Venci Venc’, which spent 14 consecutive weeks at the top of the same hitparade. Later, on January 13, 2017, “You Got Me Girl” was released – the English version of the song “Ne si za men”. On March 13, 2017, it was officially announced that Kristian Kostov would represent Bulgaria at Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv in May. Kostov performed the song “Beautiful Mess”. He took 2nd place, which was a record for Bulgaria in the entire history of performances at the competition. At the beginning of 2019, he participated in the Chinese Singer Professional Singer Television Competition, but did not reach the finals. At 18, Kostov became the youngest participant in this show. On March 15, 2019, the EP album “Prologue” was released on Chinese music platforms. It consists of five songs: two covers of famous Chinese songs, “Beautiful mess” (Inspired by China), “Live it up” with Chinese singer Tifa Chen, and an instrumental version of “Live it up”. The album was ranked among the top ten albums by Western artists of 2019 on the Chinese music platform QQ. In February 2020, the single “Honest” was released. On 10 July of the same year, his EP “Mood” came out, followed by the music video “Thinking” on 8 August. In January 2021. the project VOSTOK released an EP on all the Chinese platforms: “Time”. Kristian released several songs, but a music video came out in August 2022: “Intentional”. At a very young age, Ellie, inspired by her big brother, also a singer under the name of Oliver Lord, sang and learned to play the guitar and the piano.  In January 2016, aged 16, she was selected for season 5 of The Voice Belgium, and passed the Blind Auditions performing Adele’s song “Daydreamer”. She survived the battles, and in the end reached the quarter finals of “The Voice”. After her participation in The Voice Belgium, she was spotted by Pierre Dumoulin, leader of the group Roscoe. The latter composed the song “City Lights”, with which she took the stage name Blanche (which is her third first name) The song was spotted by the Belgian national selection for Eurovision, and so on November 22, 2016, RTBF announced that they had chosen Blanche and her song to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The title and its clip were unveiled on March 8, 2017, and from then on Blanche appeared as one of the great favorites of the competition. In the end, she finished in 4th place. On January 26, 2018, during the D6Bels Music Awards evening, rewarding the best artists of the year and organized by RTBF, she was rewarded by the public in the “Pop” category, as well as by music professionals in the category  A few days later, on January 30, 2018, she received 2 awards at the Music Industry Awards (MIA) organized by the Flemish public television VRT and Kunstenpunt, in the categories Revelation of the Year and Hit of the Year. for the song “City Lights”. She also received an award at the European Border Breakers Award (EBBA) ceremony in Groningen. On May 24, 2018, during the show Van Gils & gasten (nl) broadcast on the Flemish television channel Één, Blanche unveiled her new single “Wrong Turn”. First single from his debut album scheduled for 2019, it was officially released in Belgium on May 25, 2018. On July 20, 2018, the single “Soon” was released, the second single from the upcoming album.  On April 1, 2020, Blanche announced that the release of her debut album “Empire” would be delayed until May 29, 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The single with the same name, however, was released in February 2020, just before the pandemic, and she released several other singles in 2020. He was born on January 3, 1989 in Nicosia, Cyprus. He studied marketing and worked in business but quickly gave it up to become a singer. He learned to play guitar and piano and studied jazz and voice. His first major achievement was second place in a music competition in Larnaca. He became more widely known in Cyprus under the nickname “The Messenger of Music”. On June 1, 2009 he released his first record “Den mou milás alithiná – i istoría échei teleiósei” under the name Hovig. In 2009, Demirjian participated in the Greek version The X Factor. He placed seventh. After The X Factor he returned to Cyprus where he developed a solo music career. He also toured internationally singing in various concerts in Greece, the Middle East and Russia. On 21 October 2016, Hovig was announced as the Cypriot entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The song was called “Gravity” and was released on March 1, 2017. He took part in the first semi-final of the competition where he was ranked 5th and went on to the final, where he got the 21st place. After the contest, Hovig was able to perform in Saint Petersburg, Russia, twice that year. In January, 2018, Hovig released a new single: “Words are never easy”. A year later, he was able to perform in Los Angeles. On 12 October, 2020, a song in Greek was released; self composed with lyrics of George and Grigoris Vaxavanelis. The song was called “O iroas sou”. On March 7, 2021, it was followed by the song “”Lusabats | Gnórimi Skiá”, a duet with Arpi. The song was in two languages: Greek and Armenian. In July of the same year, it was followed by the song “An diliazo mi thimwneis”. In December of the same year, Hovig wrote a song for McDonalds. All proceeds from sales were going to the first Ronald McDonald House in Cyprus. When he was 14, the family moved to Steinkjer. In Steinkjer, he became interested in guitar, bands, rock and songwriting, and started the alternative rock band Enter. They attended UKM (Ung Kultur Møtes is a public cultural initiative for young people between the ages of 13 and 20, and takes place every year across the country) and played on smaller local stages. Steen later studied music production at Noroff in Oslo, and started Red Line Studio where he has worked as a sound technician and producer since 2011. Steen has worked with a number of artists in hip-hop, electronic music, pop and rock. In 2016, he wrote and produced the song “Grab the Moment” under the stage name JOWST. This was his first original release under his own name, and he brought along the singer and songwriter Aleksander Walmann on vocals. The song was released for streaming and sale on 15 February 2017 and won Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Steen and Walmann later represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, where “Grab the Moment” splaced tenth in the final on 13 May. The song was awarded ‘Song of the Year’ at the NRJ Music Awards. In August of the same year, both JOWST and Aleksander released a new song, “That feeling”. In the same year, JOWST produced songs for Eurovision participants Manel Navarro and Martina Barta. On 9 March 2018, JOWST and Kristian Kostov teamed up and released a song called “Burning bridges”. One day later, his song “Talk to the hand”, a song Aleksander Wallman sang at Melodi Grand Prix 2018, ended up in top4. Later that year, he teamed up with Manel Navarro again and with Maria Celin to release the song “Roller coaster ride”. In January 2019, a new JOWST single was released, “Everybody knows”. He teamed up with Chris Medina for the song “Happier”. JOWST has released music with Warner Music, Sony Music, UpNorth, and in the end of 2019 started his own label JOWST AS. In the same year, he started a podcast, called Jowstcast. JOWST released a new single in March 2020: “Kiss the ring”, featuring Jæger. He was born in Sabadell, Barcelona. In 2014 he rose to fame after winning the second edition of the regional contest for young musical talents Teen Star. It allowed him to sign his first record contract with TeenStarRecord. He also recorded the first theme of his authorship debuting as a composer, entitled “Brand new day”. In 2016 Manel signed with the record label Sony Music Entertainment (SME), and released his first single, “Candle”. With his new song, “Do it for your lover”, Manel participated in Objetivo Eurovisión 2017, the preselection to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.  The voting ended in a tie with Mirela, who had been the winner of the popular vote. The jury voted again to break the tie and, by two votes to one, Manel was chosen as representative in the face of criticism and boos from the audience. As soon as the result was known, a barrage of criticism of the winner and the production of the gala was unleashed on social media, as well as allegations of fraud in the voting to favor Manel. Even the PSOE, an opposition party at the time, asked the government and RTVE for explanations about the gala. Manel participated on May 13 in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 performing in sixteenth place. He ended up in 26th and last place. On June 2, 2017, Manel published the song “Keep on Falling”, which tells his own story of personal improvement. In August, he launched the #LoSuperé anti-bullying campaign, which was joined by celebrities such as Carlos Baute, Gemeliers, Adrián Rodríguez and Nathan Trent. In April 2018 he announced his signing by the Universal Music label and published the song “Voulez-vous Danser?”. At 24 October 2019, Manel released a new single, “Mi mejor despedida”. For this song he teamed up with Funambulista. The song was also released in Catalan language as “El comiat de la vida”. On 22 January, 2020, another duet was released, now between Manel and Belén Aguillera: “Que te vaya bien”. In the same year, he teamed up with Bely Basarte for “Quiéreme”. In October 2017, another song was released, entitled “Ston aéra”, which is the soundtrack of Nikos Perakis’ movie Success Story. A new album, “Kontra”, was also released by that time. In 2018 she released three new singles, all entering the Greek charts. For Super FM Radio Cyprus she teamed up with Evridiki in the song “To mono pou thimamai”, which won the prize for best duet/collaboration. In the same year, Demy won a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for best Greek artist. Demy’s third album “Retrospective” was released on 29 May 2019 and became platinum in Greece. Alma initially performed “Requiem” in French but then also recorded another version which contained a few lines in English and variations in the lyrics in French as well as in the melody. The images of the clip shot in Paris are the same for both versions. Alma’s debut album titled “Ma peau aime” was released on May 5, 2017. On May 13, 2017e, during the final of the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, Alma performed “Requiem” in French with passages in English. She became 12th.  During the summer of 2017, she participated in many shows such as Vendredi tout est permi and Fort Boyard On January 27, 2018, replacing Amir, she was part of the jury for the final of Destination Eurovision on France 2, a program to designate the representative of France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. When he was 14, the family moved to Steinkjer. In Steinkjer, he became interested in guitar, bands, rock and songwriting, and started the alternative rock band Enter. They attended UKM (Ung Kultur Møtes is a public cultural initiative for young people between the ages of 13 and 20, and takes place every year across the country) and played on smaller local stages. Steen later studied music production at Noroff in Oslo, and started Red Line Studio where he has worked as a sound technician and producer since 2011. Steen has worked with a number of artists in hip-hop, electronic music, pop and rock. In 2016, he wrote and produced the song “Grab the Moment” under the stage name JOWST. This was his first original release under his own name, and he brought along the singer and songwriter Aleksander Walmann on vocals. The song was released for streaming and sale on 15 February 2017 and won Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Steen and Walmann later represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, where “Grab the Moment” splaced tenth in the final on 13 May. The song was awarded ‘Song of the Year’ at the NRJ Music Awards. In August of the same year, both JOWST and Aleksander released a new song, “That feeling”. In the same year, JOWST produced songs for Eurovision participants Manel Navarro and Martina Barta. On 9 March 2018, JOWST and Kristian Kostov teamed up and released a song called “Burning bridges”. It allowed him to sign his first record contract with TeenStarRecord. He also recorded the first theme of his authorship debuting as a composer, entitled “Brand new day”. In 2016 Manel signed with the record label Sony Music Entertainment (SME), and released his first single, “Candle”. With his new song, “Do it for your lover”, Manel participated in Objetivo Eurovisión 2017, the preselection to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.  The voting ended in a tie with Mirela, who had been the winner of the popular vote. The jury voted again to break the tie and, by two votes to one, Manel was chosen as representative in the face of criticism and boos from the audience. As soon as the result was known, a barrage of criticism of the winner and the production of the gala was unleashed on social media, as well as allegations of fraud in the voting to favor Manel. Even the PSOE, an opposition party at the time, asked the government and RTVE for explanations about the gala. In the summer of 2012 she toured throughout Greece, Cyprus and Russia. “Fallin” became a hit in Russia, reaching number 1 on the Europa Plus Chart. On October 22, 2012, she released a new song, “I zoí”. Demy’s first full length album, “#1”, was released in late 2012 and went platinum. In May 2013 she sang in Alex Leon’s “The Sun”, which won 2 MAD Awards. In March 2014 Demy collaborated with Playmen for the song “Nothing better”. In May 2014, she released “Óso o kósmos tha échei eséna”, featuring Greek rapper Mike. The song won an award at MAD 2015 for the best duet of the year. On December 22, her second full-length album, “Rodino Aniero”, was released. In 2015 she was a member of the jury of The Music School. During the summer Demy participated in another musical.  Melodía tis Eftychías. Demy was selected by ERT to represent Greece at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. The song with which she took part in the competition was chosen in a special show. “This is Love”appeared to be the winning song. The song reached the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest and ended up in 19th place. In July of the same year, she presented her new song “M’ ekdikisai” . In October 2017, another song was released, entitled “Ston aéra”, which is the soundtrack of Nikos Perakis’ movie Success Story. A new album, “Kontra”, was also released by that time. In 2018 she released three new singles, all entering the Greek charts. For Super FM Radio Cyprus she teamed up with Evridiki in the song “To mono pou thimamai”, which won the prize for best duet/collaboration. In the same year, Demy won a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for best Greek artist. Demy’s third album “Retrospective” was released on 29 May 2019 and became platinum in Greece. On October 7, 2016, he released his debut single with the song “Ne si za men” (“Not for me”). When he was 14, the family moved to Steinkjer. In Steinkjer, he became interested in guitar, bands, rock and songwriting, and started the alternative rock band Enter. They attended UKM (Ung Kultur Møtes is a public cultural initiative for young people between the ages of 13 and 20, and takes place every year across the country) and played on smaller local stages. Steen later studied music production at Noroff in Oslo, and started Red Line Studio where he has worked as a sound technician and producer since 2011. Steen has worked with a number of artists in hip-hop, electronic music, pop and rock. In 2016, he wrote and produced the song “Grab the Moment” under the stage name JOWST. This was his first original release under his own name, and he brought along the singer and songwriter Aleksander Walmann on vocals. The song was released for streaming and sale on 15 February 2017 and won Melodi Grand Prix, the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. Steen and Walmann later represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, where “Grab the Moment” splaced tenth in the final on 13 May. The song was awarded ‘Song of the Year’ at the NRJ Music Awards. In August of the same year, both JOWST and Aleksander released a new song, “That feeling”. In the same year, JOWST produced songs for Eurovision participants Manel Navarro and Martina Barta. On 9 March 2018, JOWST and Kristian Kostov teamed up and released a song called “Burning bridges”. He was born in Sabadell, Barcelona. In 2014 he rose to fame after winning the second edition of the regional contest for young musical talents Teen Star. It allowed him to sign his first record contract with TeenStarRecord. He also recorded the first theme of his authorship debuting as a composer, entitled “Brand new day”. In 2016 Manel signed with the record label Sony Music Entertainment (SME), and released his first single, “Candle”. With his new song, “Do it for your lover”, Manel participated in Objetivo Eurovisión 2017, the preselection to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.  The voting ended in a tie with Mirela, who had been the winner of the popular vote. The jury voted again to break the tie and, by two votes to one, Manel was chosen as representative in the face of criticism and boos from the audience. As soon as the result was known, a barrage of criticism of the winner and the production of the gala was unleashed on social media, as well as allegations of fraud in the voting to favor Manel. Even the PSOE, an opposition party at the time, asked the government and RTVE for explanations about the gala. Manel participated on May 13 in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 performing in sixteenth place. He ended up in 26th and last place. On June 2, 2017, Manel published the song “Keep on Falling”, which tells his own story of personal improvement. In August, he launched the #LoSuperé anti-bullying campaign, which was joined by celebrities such as Carlos Baute, Gemeliers, Adrián Rodríguez and Nathan Trent.
