Ukraine won’t host Eurovision 2023

In a new released statement the EBU had to say that the Eurovision Song Contest won’t travel to Ukraine. “Following objective analysis, the Reference Group, the ESC’s governing board, has with deep regret concluded that, given the current circumstances, the security and operational guarantees required for a broadcaster to host, organize and produce the Eurovision Song Contest under the ESC Rules cannot be fulfilled by UA:PBC.” is the main reason we won’t be heading to Ukraine.

The full statement reads:

Instead of Kyiv or Lviv, we will probably travel to the United Kingdom next year. Talks with broadcaster BBC have begun, and we will have an answer soon. If the BBC aren’t willing to host the song contest, the talks with Spanish broadcaster TVE will continue.

The BBC have released a statement aswell: “We have seen the announcement from the EBU. Clearly these aren’t a set of circumstances that anyone would want. Following their decision, we will of course discuss the BBC hosting the Eurovision Song Contest.”.

Where do you think we will travel to? Are we heading to London, Glasgow, or Manchester?
