The Roop for Lithuania?

After several semifinals, it is time for the final now in Lithuania. Huge favorite to win this thing tonight is The Roop. They got a wildcard for the final because they won the contest last year. Due to the corona virus they couldn’t represent Lithuania in the international contest. A pity, because they were one of the favorites to even win the ESC!

The show starts at 20.00 CET and you can watch it here and here.

Tonight’s contestants are:

  • Evita Cololo, “Be paslapčių”
  • Gebrasy, “Where’d you wanna go”
  • Martyna Jezepčikaitė, “Thank you very much”
  • The Roop, “Discoteque”
  • Titas & Benas, “No”
  • Voldemars Petersons, “Never fall for you again”

Voldemars Petersons was a member of the band Kupido. They took part in 2007. As a soloist, Voldemars was involved in the 2019 and 2020 contests. However, he never made it to a 2nd round.

We saw Benas Malakauskas (Titas & Benas) doing attempts in 2017 and 2018.

As we said, The Roop won the 2020 national final. But also in 2018, they took part.
