That was not without any struggle. The Orthodox Church protested against the song “El diablo”. A declaration of love to the devil was not done they said, and they even demanded from the Cypriot government that the song had to be withdrawn. They hadn’t listened really well: the song was by no means a song of praise to the devil, but is about a woman who falls for a bad man.

🇺🇦 National: Ukraine selects tonight
Tonight is the night for Ukraine to select a song. Vidbir, the annual national selection, will be held. Out of 10 songs, one will be selected to represent Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The show will start at 18.00 CET.
