No Montenegrin entry in 2021

Today, Montenegrin television station RTCG (Radijo Televizija Crna Gora) confirmed that Montenegro will not take part in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. The country already decided not to go to Rotterdam in 2020. There was hope for a return in 2021 in Rotterdam, but now it’s sure that is not going to happen.

As an independent country, Montenegro had it’s first participation in 2007. The country was not very lucky in Eurovision history. Sergej Ćetković was the first one to reach the final, only in 2014! The best score for Montenegro was in 2015, when Knez represented his country with the song “Adio”.

For now we have to say adio to Montenegro, hopefully we’ll see them back in 2022.
