Sad news from France: at the age of 84, Alain Barrière died of a cardiac arrest. Barrière took part in the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Elle était si jolie”. He reached the 5th place. Another worldwide hit of Barrière was “Ma vie” in 1964. After a long career, he wrote his autobiography in 2006.
