Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest

Slovenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 after gaining independence from Yugoslavia. The country has participated frequently but has yet to secure a win. Its best results were in 1995 and 2001, finishing seventh. Slovenia has used both national selections and internal selections to choose its entries. Over the years, the country has sent a mix of musical styles, often performing in Slovene. While Slovenia has qualified for the final multiple times, it has also faced early eliminations. Last year, Slovenia reached the final with Raiven, who hosts the show tonight.
