Iceland: Söngvakeppnin final to be held

Iceland will select their entry tonight through the Söngvakepnnin final. Five songs from the two semifinals will be sung. The rule for the semifinal was that all of them should be sung in Icelandic. For now, they will all be sung in a language of choice. However, this year at least four of the songs are in English.

The show starts at 20.45 CET and you can watch it here. The songs are:

1 Sigga Ozk Dancing lonely
2 Bragi Sometimes the world is against you
3 Celebs Doomsday dancing
4 Diljá Power
5 Langi Seli & Skuggarnir OK

None of the participants has ever taken part in Söngvakeppnin before.

Tonight Israel will select an artist. As in many other years, HaKokhav HaBa will be the national final. After 15 shows, a quarter final and two semifinals, the moment is there. Four contestants will go into the arena. Three of them will be selected by televoters to head to a superfinal. Televoters and jury then will select the singer going to Basel. One of the jury members is former Eurovision participant Shiri Maimon. The show starts at 20:30 CET and you can probably watch it here. Not sure, so we keep you updated.
