Azerbaijan: TuralTuranX goes to Liverpool

There was news about Azerbaijan today. We know now that the duo TuralTuranX will represent this country. That is what Ictimai, the Azerbaijani broadcaster, announced today. 

TuralTuranX was one of five shortlisted artists/groups for the job. The duo consists of the 22 year old twins Tural and Turan. They are street performers from Zaqatala in the north of Azerbaijan. The brothers will perform in the 2nd half of the 1st semifinal.

Tonight Israel will select an artist. As in many other years, HaKokhav HaBa will be the national final. After 15 shows, a quarter final and two semifinals, the moment is there. Four contestants will go into the arena. Three of them will be selected by televoters to head to a superfinal. Televoters and jury then will select the singer going to Basel. One of the jury members is former Eurovision participant Shiri Maimon. The show starts at 20:30 CET and you can probably watch it here. Not sure, so we keep you updated. The contestants are: 1 Daniel Weiss 2 Red Band & Moran Aharoni 3 Valerie Hamaty 4 Yuval Raphael Share
