Biography
Vanja Radovanovic is a Montenegrin singer-songwriter, born in Belgrade. He started his career in 2004, when he made his first public appearance at the Budva Music Festival, where he received the award for best debut with the song “Dripac”.
In 2005, Vanja participated in the same festival with the song “Krila olovna” which became a big hit in Montenegro and Serbia. In the same year he performed at the Radio Festival of Serbia, also as an author, with the song “Izvini ne menja ljude”, for which he recorded the first video of his career. In 2006 he took part in Beovizija, the Serbian semifinal for the preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. In 2007, Vanja released the single “Pričaj dodirom”, for which a video was made. At the end of 2007 he formed the band Baptism of Fire. In mid-May 2008, Vanja released his debut album “Pričaj dodirom”. Since this project has become one of the best selling in Montenegro, Radovanovic has been selected by T-Mobile Montenegro and NOKIA to be the promoter of the new music phone. Immediately afterwards, a series of concerts with the band in the squares and clubs in Montenegro followed, where the video for “Takav sam i sad” was made.
In 2009, he released the single and video for the song “Ne pitaj za mene” At the end of 2010, he published promo material called “Bez koncepta”, featuring three songs “Milo moje”, “Novi Sad” and “Rakija”. In the meantime, he prepared new material and also wrote songs for many other artists from the region.
In the spring of 2012, he started recording a new album. In June of the same year, a single was released called “Padobran”, for which the video was recorded. The second single, “Svi životi moji”was released in December 2013.
In 2017, Vanja released his second album, “Svi životi moji”. In 2018, Vanja was chosen to represent Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Inje”.
