Biography
Tor Endresen is a Norwegian singer and composer. His first two albums were recorded together with Pål Thowsen, the 3rd and 4th with Rune Larsen. Only his fifth album was his first complete solo album. Tor Endresen participated in the Norwegian national selection Melodi Grand Prix no less than twelve times! He won the contest only once, so he represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997. Unfortunately, his song “San Francisco” did not receive any point. Endresen was part of a popular Norwegian TV show in the early 1990s, a show with pop music from the 1950s and 1960s called Lollipop, as a singing bartender. A single called “Black Rain” which was released from his album Call Me Stranger in 1986, was nearly chosen as the themesong for the James Bond film The Living Daylights in 1987. Endresen has been awarded two film music awards from Disney for his singing contribution to the Norwegian version of Disney films.
