Biography

Thomas Forstner is an Austrian singer. When he was 10 years old, he joined the “Wiener Sängerknaben”. In june 1988, he won a talent competition with his song “Still hoping”. It gave him the cance to make professional recordings. In 1989, he was chosen to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest and gained a 5th place. The title reached the number 1 spot in the Austrian charts. The English version, “Song Of Love”, is in the soundtrack of the episode “The game is over” from the series Der Alte. His second single, “Wenn nachts die Sonne scheint” , produced by Dieter Bohlen, reached the top 10. He returned to the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest with the title Venedig im Regen. He ended up with nil points. In October 1991, he married Vanessa Desirée Thun-Hohenstein. A girl was born in 1995. The couple divorced in 19981. The flop at Eurovision greatly hindered the rest of his career. Between long musical breaks, he appeared on various musical productions in all styles. Nowadays he works as a software developer in his hometown.
