Biography

The Mullans was an Irish duo, formed by 2 sisters. Bronagh and Karen Mullan were born in Belfast. They went to music school in their hometown, where they studied piano and clarinet. Since a very young age, the two performed in public. They both sang solo as well as in duet, playing cabaret. Their first single was “Independent woman” in 1999. Shortly after that, they won Eurosong 1999, the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Bronagh Mullan contributed the song “Now we are free” to the soundtrack “Reel Chill vol. 2” in 2008
