Biography
Srbuhi Sargsyan (April 3, 199, Yerevan, Armenia) is better known as Srbuk, an Armenian pop singer-songwriter. She received her musical education at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory. Srbuhi Sargsyan appeared in the music industry after participating in the first season of the Armenian X Factor, where she took the second place. In 2012, Srbuk formed her own band called Allusion. In 2014, she and Garik Papoyan performed the song “Boat”, which is one of the soundtracks of the Russian film Ljogok na mogine. In 2016, Srbuk released his debut single “Yet’e karogh yes”.
In 2018, she participated in the eighth season of the TV show Voice of Ukraine, getting the fourth place. On November 30, 2018, it was announced that he would represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. She represented Armenia with the song “Walking out”, a song that unfortunately did not reach the final in the Eurovision Song Contest. In the same year, Srbuk released a single called “Na na na”.
Two singles were released in 2020, both collaborations with other artists: “Hagtelu enq” with Gor Sujyan, Mavr Mkrtchyan and Gevorg Hakobyan, “Mez vochinch chi haghti” with Iveta Mukuchyan, Gor Sujyan, Sevak Amroyan, Sevak Khanagyan and Sona Rubenyan.
