Biography
Şebnem Paker is a Turkish singer, guitarist and music teacher. She studied classical guitar at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. In 1996, she represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1997, she returned to the national final with Grup Ethnic , singing the song “Dinle”. She became the first ever Turkish participant joining top-3. In 1998, she competed once again in the national finals organized by TRT and expressed the idea of achieving a more successful result every year in Eurovision. However, she did not win the national final with the song called “Çal”. She graduated from Marmara University in 2000 . After working in private educational institutions of the Ministry of National Education for 4 years, she has been working as a music teacher since 2004.
