Biography

Scott Fitzgerald is a Scottish singer and musical actor, born in Glasgow. He released his debut single “Judy played the jukebox” in 1974, soon followed by “Never too young to rock”  in 1975. It was the title track to a glam rock movie. His biggest succes however came in 1977, when he teamed up with Dutch singer Yvonne Keeley and the Saint Thomas More School Choir in the song “If I had words”. The song became an international chart success. It reached the UK top-3 and was a huge success in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium and Scandinavia as well. Scott Fitzgerald has lived in The Netherlands for a couple of years to establish a singing career there. In 1988, he was chosen to represent the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest. His song “Go” was written and composed by Julie Forsyth, who had been a member of the band Guys ‘n’ Dolls.
In 1992, Yvonne Keeley and Scott Fitzgerald teamed up again and released a new single, “United we stand”. In 2010, they teamed up again, now with a couple of Dutch stars, to re-record “If I had words” for charity.
