Williams is the son of the English comedian and actor Bill Maynard, and is a musical star himself, having played in “Great Big Groovy Horse”, “Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat” and “As you like it”. Band member Dudley Phillips had worked with the Annie Whitehead Band and the Kevin Kitchen Band. Paul Robertson made albums with a.o. The Perfect Zebras and The Comsat Angels. Also Andy Ebsworth worked with The Perfect Zebras and has appeared on BBC tv’s “Old Grey Whistle Test”. Geoff Leach played with The Adventrues. Rob Terry has a bachelor of Arts Degree in Music. As a band, Ryder only did one thing: they participated in the Eurovision Song Contest and released the Eurovision song on single: “Runner in the night”.
