Biography
Ruslana Lyzhychko is a Ukrainian musical artist and social activist. She won both the Eurovision Song Contest and a World Music Award. After winning Eurovision, she was named ‘People’s Artist of Ukraine’. She was the first artist ever from the former Soviet Union to oficially receive a platinum disk for her album ‘Dyki tantsi’. Both in the Orange Revolution in 2004 and the Euromaidan in 2013/2014 she had a main role. Ruslana had also been a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
