Biography
Born in Cavaillon, Rachel is a French singer. In 1961 she won a singing contest and in addition, started to study at the Petit Conservatoire de la chanson. Eddie Barclay offered her a record contract in 1963.
In 1964, Rachel was chosen to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Le chant de Mallory”. She reached a fourth place with the song.
At the label of Barclay, Rachel kept on releasing songs, most of them being covers, such as “Le doux paysage”, “Un pays”, “L’oiseau d’Italie”, “Maria, Maria” and the Eurovision cover “L’amour est bleu”. In 1967, she represented France at the Belgian Knokke Cup.
