Biography
Pfuri, Gorps and Kniri were a musical trio, especially known for making music with everyday items such as lawn mowers, trash cans, plastic bags, mouse traps and garden hoses. The three played covers of wellknown songs, as well as their own material. The group played at the festival in Roskilde in 1978, and were present at the festival of Montreux in 1977 and 1979. They rose to international fame when they accompanied Peter, Sue & Marc at the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Trödler & Co.”.
The band performed in the Peter Alexander Show, Bio’s Bahnhof and 1, 2 oder 3. In 1981, they even made a film called “Pfuri, Gorps und Kniri im Hotel”. At the end of 1981, the group split up. Anthony ‘Gorps’ Fischer passed away in 2000.
