Brinck

Niels Brinck Kristensen, known as Brinck, was born on 24 September 1974 in Aabyhøj, a suburb of Aarhus, Denmark. He is a Danish singer and songwriter who sings in English.

In 2008, Brinck released his first solo album titled “Brinck”. This album was a big success in Denmark, reaching the Top Ten on the Danish albums chart. It included popular songs like “I Don’t Wanna Love Her”, which became a Top 20 hit, and “In the End I Started”, a duet with Swedish singer Maria Marcus. This duet was the theme song for the second season of the TV crime series “Anna Pihl”.

In the same year, Brinck wrote “The 1”, a hit song for Martin, a young pop singer who won the first season of the Danish “The X Factor”. Brinck also helped perform the songs “Face Me” and “Gravity Hurts” for the Bionicle franchise with the band Cryoshell.

In 2009, Brinck won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Believe Again”, written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Larsson Moller, and Ronan Keating. This victory allowed him to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia, where he finished 13th in the finals on 16 May 2009.

Brinck released his second album in 2013. The first single from this album was “The Heights”. With the song “Human” he participated in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix for a second time. The follow up of this song was “Sommer”, released in June.

In May 2015 Brinck was part of a concert in order to support Kræftens Bekæmpelse, to collect money for cancer research. After a lot of studio work, he returned to the stage in June 2017, when he gave a small concert in a restaurant in Greve.

In December 2019, it was time for Brinck’s 10 years jubilee concerts.
