Biography
Modern Times was a duo, especially teamed up for the Eurovision Song Contest. Simone Weiss is a Luxembourgian singer. She released her debut single in 1993 and was working on an album when she was asked to join Modern Times.
Her duopartner Jimmy Martin is already a professional singer since 1985, when he released his first solo single. From 1987 to 1990 he played in the metalband FISC.
When in 1994 Martina Navratilova resigned, he wrote a song for her called “Martina you’re in our hearts”. Jimmy Martin released a total of eight albums, the last of which was a “Best of…” album in 2002.
Modern Times were the last ones ever to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest.
