Biography

Modern Folk Trio, in Turkish Modern Folk Üçlüsü, was established already in 1969. In 1970, they released their first record, followed by a second one in 1973. In total, the group released 17 albums. They accompanied Nükhet Duru in the national final for the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest and Ayşegül Aldinç in the 1981 contest. 

Ayşegül Aldinç (28-9-1957) is a Turkish singer and actress. She rose to fame when she participated in the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest for Turkey. She worked as a designer for six years, and in 1985 she started singing in the casinos. Her first solo album was released in 1988. Her song “Kara sevda” meant her final breakthrough in Turkey. She released six studio albums so far. As an actress, the Turkish audience could see her in numerous theatre productions, mini series and soap operas.
