Biography
Marlayne is a Dutch singer and TV Presenter. In the mid 1990s she was one of the Frogettes, the backing choir of Dutch singer René Froger. She rose to fame when she participated in the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “One good reason”. Marlayne released her first, and to date, only album “Meant to be” in 2001. She performed in several shows and released a duet with Gordon. In 2003 she became a presenter of news and current events on Dutch tv station SBS6, where she currently still hosts several tv-shows. In 2019, she made a theater tour called “The legends we’ve lost” in cooperation with a.o. Shirma Rouse, Buddy Vedder, Erica Greenfield and Jan Kanis.
