Biography
Marko Bošnjak, born on January 11, 2004, in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a Bosnian-Croatian pop singer who gained prominence after winning the second season of the Serbian talent show “Pinkove Zvezdice” in 2016.
Bošnjak’s passion for music was evident from a young age. In 2015, at just 11 years old, he auditioned for “Pinkove Zvezdice,” a popular Serbian talent show aimed at discovering young musical talents. His performances, notably his rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s “One Night Only,” captivated both the judges and the audience, leading him to win the competition in 2016.
Following his victory, Bošnjak continued to build his musical career:
He participated in Dora 2022, Croatia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Moli za nas” (“Pray For Us”). He finished in second place. Bošnjak released several singles, including “Spokojan” and “Nema,” both of which received positive reviews and showcased his evolving musical style.
In 2025, Bošnjak returned to Dora, this time with the song “Poison Cake.” His performance stood out among the competitors, leading him to win the national final held on March 2, 2025. This victory secured his position as Croatia’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, set to be held in Basel, Switzerland.
Bošnjak’s music is characterized by his powerful vocals and emotive delivery. He has cited artists like Jessie J and Adele as significant influences, which is reflected in his soulful performances.
In addition to his Eurovision journey, Bošnjak was announced as a contestant on the ninth season of the Croatian edition of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” (“Tvoje lice zvuči poznato”) on February 24, 2025, showcasing his versatility as an artist.
