Biography
Raised in Italy, he came to Switzerland at a young age. In the 1960s he was the singer and guitarist for various rock and beat bands, including The Sevens, with whom he released an album in 1966. His engagement with Pepe Lienhard began in 1969, first as an electric bassist and singer in the sextet, later as a singer and entertainer with the large orchestra. With the Pepe Lienhard Band he also took part in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest in London. Her track Swiss Lady reached number 6 there and was a number 1 hit in the Swiss charts. Since 1980, the Pepe Lienhard Orchestra has accompanied Udo Jürgens on his tours, where Gasparini then acted as background singer.
Together with Mariella Farré he won the Swiss preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in Gothenburg. Her Schlager Piano, piano reached twelfth place there.
