Biography

Lucio Corsi is an Italian singer-songwriter known for blending glam rock with surreal lyrics and fairy-tale themes. Born on October 15, 1993, in Grosseto, Tuscany, he grew up in Vetulonia. His early musical influences included Peter Gabriel-era Genesis, leading him to compose instrumental progressive rock pieces before transitioning to a singer-songwriter style inspired by artists like Flavio Giurato and Ivan Graziani.

In 2012, after graduating from the “Guglielmo Marconi” Scientific High School in Grosseto, Corsi moved to Milan to pursue his music career. He released his debut EP, “Vetulonia Dakar,” in 2014, followed by “Altalena Boy” in 2015. These EPs were later combined into the album “Altalena Boy/Vetulonia Dakar,” distributed by Sony Music.

Corsi’s first studio album, “Bestiario musicale,” was released in 2017. This concept album features eight tracks, each dedicated to an animal from his native Maremma region. That same year, he opened concerts for Italian artists Baustelle and Brunori Sas. He also collaborated with Gucci, participating in their “Cruise 2018” campaign and the “Roman Rhapsody” project.

In 2019, Corsi signed with Sugar Music and released the single “Cosa faremo da grandi?” This track served as the title for his 2020 album, produced by Francesco Bianconi and Antonio Cupertino. He continued his collaboration with director Tommaso Ottomano, creating a short film to accompany the album.

Corsi’s third album, “La gente che sogna,” was released in 2023, followed by a tour that included opening for The Who at Firenze Rocks. In 2024, he appeared as himself in the third season of Carlo Verdone’s TV series “Vita da Carlo,” contributing the song “Tu sei il mattino” to its soundtrack.

In February 2025, Corsi participated in the 75th Sanremo Music Festival with the song “Volevo essere un duro,” securing second place and receiving the “Mia Martini” Critics Prize. Following the festival, he was selected to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, after the winner, Olly, declined the opportunity.
