Biography

Levina is a German singer, songwriter and presenter. 

She was born as Isabella Levina Lueen in Bonn and grew up in Chemnitz. There she first attended Gymnasium and later completed the International Baccalaureate in Cambridge, England. She studied singing and composition at London’s Tech Music School (TMS) and completed her Bachelor’s degree at King’s College London. She currently lives in Berlin and London, where she studies music management.

At the age of nine, Levina began taking piano and singing lessons, and in 2001 she won a prize at Jugend musiziert. With her own composition, she won the 2006 student competition of the Saxon state parliament and later received several awards at London’s King’s College, where she was the frontwoman of the band Miss Terry Blue.

In February 2017 she took part in Unser song 2017, the German national final for the Eurovision Song Contest. She won the contest. In April 2017 she took over the moderation of PopXport, the music magazine of Deutsche Welle. Also in April 2017 her debut album “Unexpected” was released. At the Eurovision Song Contest, she finished 25th.

After a long break, she released a new single called “Lows” in October 2020. More singles followed, as well as the album “Thinking in the Dark” in November 2021. In August 2022, she reverted to her previous stage name Levina due to a trademark conflict.

In November 2022, she released a new single, “Battleground”.
