Biography

Jean Baudlot, also known as Laurent Vaguener, was a French singer and composer. In the 1970s, Jean Baudlot composed for artists like Richard Clayderman, Nicolas de Angelis, Michele Torr and Joe Dassin. He also composed the Monegask song for the 1979 Eurovision Song Contest, “Notre vie, c’est la musique”. When the singer who was supposed to do the job withdrew, Jean went to sing the song himself under the name of Lauren Vaguener. 
In his early years, he composed for various labels like Polydor, AZ, Discodis and Delphine Records. He continued to work for Delphine Records in the 1980s, including compositions for Richard Clayderman and Nicolas de Angelis. For the second and last time, he released a single under his pseudonym Laurent Vaguener in 1984. In 1988, Delphine Records created a game development company named Delphine Software, for which he composes many music on Amiga and Atari ST2. His work got very positive comments in the game magazines. In 1995, Jean Baudlot created his own production company L’Ours-son Prooduction, which specialized in the advertising and production of jingles for television and radio. He also produced music for documentaries on French tv.
Jean Baudlot passed away in 2021.
