Biography

Laura Thorn is a Luxembourgish singer and music educator, set to represent Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with her song “La poupée monte le son” in Basel, Switzerland.

From a young age, Thorn received training in music theory, piano, cello, keyboard, chamber music, and dance. She completed her studies with a master’s degree in music theory, music pedagogy, and pop singing from the Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie (IMEP) in Namur, Belgium.

Professionally, Thorn serves as a solfège and singing teacher at the Esch-sur-Alzette Conservatory of Music in Luxembourg. In addition to her teaching role, she has been regularly on stage and taking part in musical projects.

On January 25, 2025, Laura Thorn won the Luxembourgish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She will present the song “La poupée monte le son”. The song is an ode to the 1965 winning entry “Poupée de cire, poupée de son” by France Gall.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Thorn is known for her dedication to music education and her commitment to nurturing young talent.
