Biography

Lara Fabian is a Belgian-born Canadian singer. She released her debut single “L’aziza est en pleurs”/”Il y avait” in 1986. Two years later, she got her first fame when she represented Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1990, she moved to Canada where she could release her debut album in 1991. It was a success in Canada. However, her international breakthrough came with her second album in 1994. Walt Disney hired her for the voice of Esmeralda in the French version of “The hunchback of the Notre Dame”. The third album “Pure” sold over 2 million copies in France. In 1999, she released an album and hitsingle “I will love again”, which meant her breakthrough in the USA. In 2014, she participated in the festival of San Remo. Lara Fabian released a total of 14 studio albums, 4 live albums and 4 compilation albums. Beside that, she also did no less than six large international tours. Lara Fabian also writes for other artists such as Chimène Badi, Nolwenn Leroy and Myriam Abel.
