Biography
José Cid is a Portuguese singer and songwriter since he was 14 and joined the band Os Babies. In 1965, he co-founded the band Quartetto 1111, in which he was the band leader, composer, keyboard player and lead singer. Beside that, he also played in the band Green Windows and had a solo career. He represented Portugal in the OTI festival in 1979 and 1981 and in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980. He released no less than 34 albums, among which an album with duets only. In 1998, he was a member of Alma Lusa, who represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest.
