Biography

John Lundvik is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and former sprinter. Lundvik was born in London of a young woman from Kuwait and was adopted when he was a week old to a Swedish couple working there. The family lived in London until he was six years old. They then moved to Växjö, where he grew up.
As a sprinter, Lundvik was a member of IFK Växjö’s relay team in 2005, which took the SM bronze at 4×100 meters.
His musical career started when Lundvik co-wrote the song “When You Tell the World You’re Mine”, which was performed by Björn Skifs and Agnes Carlsson at the wedding of the Swedish Crown Princess in 2010. He has been songwriter for artists such as Isac Elliot, Anton Ewald and Sanna Nielsen, and has written film music for the movie Snabba Cash. In Melodifestivalen 2014, the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, John wrote Anton Ewald’s contribution “Natural”. He participated in Allsång at Skansen in August 2016, among others in duet with Lill Lindfors.
 
John Lundvik competed in Melodifestivalen 2018 with the song “My Turn”. As a voice actor, John Lundvik also did the voice for “Simba” in the new Lion King movie in 2019.  where he came in third place in the final. The same year he won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Too Late for Love”. Lundvik also was one of the songwriters for the song “Bigger than Us”, sung by Michael Rice who represented the United Kingdom.
 
In 2020, Lundvik co-wrote the French song for the Eurovision Song Contest Tom Leeb was supposed to sing. Due to COVID19, this never happened. In 2022, he participated in Melodifestivalen again with the song “Änglavakt” and became 8th.
