Biography
Jasmine Tatyana Anette Valentin (aka Jasmine) is a Finnish Roma musician. She was born in 1976.
Jasmine Valentin comes from a family of ten children in Helsinki. She represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with the song “Niin kaunis on taivas”.
After the Eurovision Song Contest, the media’s interest in the new artist became less and Jasmine focused on touring overseas. She performed in, for example, Turkey, Spain and Greece. In 2007, Jasmine performed as a member of the Manne Menuetti orchestra on YLE TV 1. In 2009, she she performed at the Finnish TV show ‘Manne maailmalla’.
