Biography
Jana Burceska is a Macedonian singer-songwriter who rose to fame after competing in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017. Born on July 6, 1993, in Skopje, Macedonia, Jana began her music career in 2011 when she participated in the Macedonian version of the TV show Macedonian Idol. She impressed the judges and the audience with her powerful vocals and reached the semi-finals of the competition.
In 2017, Jana was chosen to represent Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest with her song “Dance Alone”. Unfortunately, she didn’t reach the final. In her Eurovision postcard, aired before her performance, she announced her pregnancy. Later that evening, when interviewed, in the green room, her boyfriend Alexander proposed to her and she accepted. n October 2017, Burčeska gave birth to a baby girl named Donna.
In 2018, she did a fashion show, where she collaborated with Antonija Ristovska. She went on the catwalk in order to collect clothes for those in need. She also did other modelling work. She was working for her own Atelier Per Sempre. With this atelier she was involved in the 2019 Fashion Weekend Skopje.
As a singer, she performed at one of the parties around Benidorm Fest 2023, the Spanish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest.
