Biography
Ivo Linna is an Estonian singer. He studied Estonian philology at the University of Tartu. After that, he was active as one of the most popular Estonian-speaking rock- and popsingers.
Ivo Linna was actively involved in the Estonian Singing Revolution against the Soviet occupation of the country. In September 1988, he sang in front of 300,000 people, “Este am I, Este am I”. At the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Ivo Linna, together with the then 15-year-old Estonian singer Maarja-Liis Ilus, finished in fifth place with the song “Kaelakee hääl”. At the 2002 national final he was on stage with Yvetta Kadakas. With his song “Computer Love” he reached the tenth place. Also at Eesti Laul 2017, he participated with the song “Suur Loterii”.
