Tamara Diane Wimer, professionally known as Tamara Gee and formerly as Isis Gee, is an American pop singer and songwriter renowned for her dynamic vocal range and powerful performances. Born on October 11, 1972, in Seattle, Washington, she began her musical journey at the tender age of five. By eight, she was captivating audiences as a soloist, performing the National Anthem at major Seattle sporting events, including games for the Seahawks, Mariners, and SuperSonics. Her early dedication to music led her to tour with the Seattle Girls Choir and receive private training under esteemed vocal coach Maestro David Kyle.
By 12, Tamara had turned professional, showcasing her versatility across genres such as pop, R&B, classical, jazz, Broadway, and country music. Her talent earned her numerous accolades during her adolescence, including winning various singing competitions and a beauty pageant. At 19, she had the distinguished honor of opening for the legendary Tony Bennett and his orchestra, further solidifying her place in the music industry.
In 2004, following her marriage to Adam GoÅ‚Ä™biowski, Tamara relocated to Warsaw, Poland. Embracing her new environment, she signed with Universal Music Poland and, in 2007, released her debut album, “Hidden Treasure.” The album featured the single “For Life,” which was unanimously selected to represent Poland in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. Tamara’s performance marked a historic moment, as she became the first Polish entrant to qualify for the Eurovision final under the then-new competition rules.
Beyond Eurovision, Tamara collaborated with German DJ Schiller in 2007, co-writing and performing the track “Fate” for his album “Sehnsucht.” The album achieved triple platinum status and received a Grammy nomination. In 2009, she released the EP “Christmas Angel,” further showcasing her songwriting and vocal prowess.
On November 27, 2014, Tamara unveiled her album “Love, Tamara,” a project she co-wrote and produced with multi-Grammy Award-winning producer Walter Afanasieff, known for his work with icons like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey. This collaboration highlighted her evolution as an artist and her commitment to producing high-quality music.
In addition to her musical endeavors, Tamara co-founded Nebu Milano, an Italian cosmetic brand launched in Milan in 2013. Serving as the co-owner, co-creator, spokeswoman, and creative director, she expanded her creative pursuits into the beauty industry, blending her artistic sensibilities with entrepreneurial spirit.
