Biography
Gunvor Guggisberg is a Swiss singer and dancer, born in Bern. When she was 13 she rose to fame because of her tapdancing skills. She won the Swiss championship no less than six times. However, she wanted to be a singer and competed in several talent shows. In 1998, she was chosen to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest but failed to get any points. A documentary about her participation was made under the name ‘Gunvor – A Media History’. She went on working as a tap dance instructor. Guggisberg returned to day work while occasionally singing in hotels and in 2004 she filed for bankruptcy. In 2014 she was arrested for theft and insurance fraud. In February 2014 she married business consultant Roland Meyer.
