Biography

Fud Leclerc was a Belgian singer and musician. He owes his stage name Fud to his three first names, Ferdinand Urbain Dominic. He represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 4 times; in 1956, 1958, 1960 and in 1962.  Leclerc had a career as a pianist, accordionist, songwriter and singer before retiring to travel the world. As a pianist Leclerc guided Juliette Gréco. In the 1960s he participated in various television programs in Belgium and Germany, . He also acted, as himself, in the television series “So viel schwung”. On his return to Belgium he began a new career as a building contractor. Leclerc was invited to ESC 2005 by the Belgian TV network RTBF as a guest star.
Fud Leclerc died on September 20, 2010, aged 85/86
