Biography
Friends was a Swedish dance band, active from 1999 until 2002. They were put together from a reality tv-show called ‘Friends på turne’. Friends competed in the 2000 Melodifestivalen and became 2nd. One year later, they won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest. Prior to the Eurovision performance, the Swedish delegation was forced to pay royalties to the team behind “Liefde is een kaartspel”, the 1996 Belgian entry. The band split up in 2002, but Nina and Kim sang as a duo until 2006.
