Biography
Since 2010, Emma has released seven solo studio albums, one extended play, and thirty-nine singles. Her music has achieved significant commercial success, with four of her albums reaching the top of the Italian Albums Chart and several singles topping the Italian Singles Chart. She has sold over 1.6 million records in Italy alone. Notable highlights in her career include winning the Sanremo Music Festival in 2012 with her song “Non è l’inferno” and representing Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 with “La mia città,” which placed 21st. In 2022, Emma took part in the Festival di Sanremo again, being 6th with “Ogni volta”. A new attempt came in 2024 with “Apnea”, when she was 14th.
Emma has collaborated with both Italian and international artists, including Thirty Seconds to Mars and Álvaro Soler. She has also worked as a songwriter and producer for other musicians such as Elodie and Antonino. In addition to her musical endeavors, Emma has served as the artistic director of a team in Amici di Maria De Filippi on multiple occasions, earning two Italian Television Direction Awards. She has also showcased her acting skills in various Italian TV series and films, notably appearing in Gabriele Muccino’s 2020 film, The Best Years.
Throughout her career, Emma has received numerous awards and nominations, both in Italy and internationally. Among her accolades are three MTV Italian Music Awards, one TRL Award, and nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards and the World Music Awards.
In addition to her music career, Emma has been involved in social and charitable activities. She is particularly known for her work with various cancer charities, drawing from her own experience as a survivor of uterine cancer.
