Biography
Eduardo Nascimento was a Portuguese singer, born in Luanda, Angola. He was the leader of the ensemble Os Rocks, and participated in a Yé-Yé music competition. However, he rose to fame when he won Festival da Canção 1967 and represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “O vento mudou”.
With Os Rocks he also recorded two EPs, one in 1967 the second in 1968. He continued to perform with Os Rocks until 1969, when he returned to Angola and quit his musical career. Later he started to work for TAP Air Portugal.
Eduardo Nascimento passed away on 22 november 2019.
