Doris Dragović

Biography

Doris Dragovic is a Croatian pop singer. In the early eighties, she became a member of the group More and in 1986 she started her solo career. At the very beginning of her career, her golden future and success was reflected and one of her more successful singles “Hajde da se mazimo” was included on the CD “Zlatne osamdesete”. In 1986 she represented Yugoslavia and in 1999 Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest. Certainly the greatest career success of this vocal diva, popularly known as the “Queen of Torcida” occurred during New Year’s Eve 2017 when she performed at the Stradun in Dubrovnik and entertained tens of thousands of local and foreign visitors to the Dubrovnik Winter Festival alongside Josko Čagalj. Doris Dragović has released no less than 21 albums and took part in numerous festivals. In 1995, she won Melodije hrvatskog Jadrana and in 1996, she took the prize again. One year later, she was the winner of Zadarfest, as she did in 2002. In 2003, she won the festival of Split.
